You see our people don't like the truth. It's better for you to hear all the "ugly" truth in order to make an informed decision. Anyone that doesn't support is tagged a hater. If I wanted to migrate, I would have and by law I won't be deported. People that are conversant with immigration laws will know the angle I'm coming from.
Don't come here with half truth and when people react they start throwing tantrums all over the place.

And moreover it not all nigerians that knows d meaning of immigration their own is just to go to d embassy and collect visa...that one of d reasons I skip testimony part on Sunday in my church where some pple will come out and start thanking God how oyinbo give them visa and some ignorant people will congratulate them....they don't know d type of Visa they have all what they just know is that they have gotten the Visa and they want to travel abroad...and you talk of u immigrating who d hell as time to waste for 7-8 years for USCIS to apporve your oetitpet when b1/b2 is just simple and not far (not supporting missuse of Visa)

Please get your facts right. I didn't disrespect him. He fired the first shot. Meanwhile you better get that paper filled asap. It's better than becoming an illegal immigrant. That life is frustrating and that's the truth nobody will tell you. Tell your mum to file for you, do other things while you wait patiently for your papers. Every style Nigerians use to migrate has been discovered. They are watching with eagle eyes. Like I said earlier the illegal immigrant life is something you don't want to try. Tell people that have done it to tell you the truth. I've seen many people that have done it and I know the regrets. Even people that left well paid jobs to travel still regret it. Especially if things don't work out well. Just file the papers and get on with it.

Landed in Hartsfield ATL. All i was asked " why is your family still in the states" and i responded " We are battling with marital issues" she wanted some time away. I had an onward ticket,hotel reservation for Canada though. I just pack everything put for the guy desk and left him to go through them. I am not saying i am not in the wrong but some people on this thread can make Otedola feel like their house boy sha.

I get all you guys point. The main essence of the thread is to share & proffer advise on tourist visa, and not to support the illegality in achieving it.

However, we need to be cautious of how we address our holy truth. Say the truth but don't be abusive and disrespectful; even though you feel you're Methuselah and far older than all of us here, do know that even that kid next to you deserves some respect.

Life is funny, since you're not trying to "Japa" like some school of thought would say; you may go for an interview, it may leads to how internet savvy you are and you may wan show say you dey nairaland, this may make the interviewer more interested and ask after your username on nairaland, and the hiring manager would be one of us here; and they would know you lack communication skill, compassion, inability to work with teams and in a team as you're always abusive, hot tempered. You barely know the personality behind that name you're seeing on nairaland, it may be your bridge later.

What I'm saying is that "don't use people to get point", talk to them politely and still make your point. Let them know their wrong but don't talk to them as if you dey garri them. Everyone deserves some respect, even your housemaid.

Because, when presented with choices you and the corrupt politician do the exact same thing... say Fxxk you to everyone else and take care of only yourself. Because the someone else will see his story and follow his footsteps, and because we as a community have not condemned it, they will think that this rubbish is okay.

The deportation is simply the legal ramification of his fraudulent actions. Or do we now condone rewarding illegality? Do we hope that they flourish, thanks to their crime? By the logic of what some have stated in response, when your car gets stolen, we will simply say, "Well, the thief tried different ways to obtain the car legally, but since he couldn't, he had to steal the car and he should keep it and do well."

We are supposed to BE BETTER and DO BETTER. We ought to hold ourselves and others accountable for their actions because as a nation, we rise and fall TOGETHER. We have to care for our selves as a collective, not just me and mine.

The consequences of his actions are that of the dropbox palaver we have experienced... i.e. the cessation of the program. OP's actions do not occur in isolation. There are real life consequences and ramifications thanks to the tens of thousands of people who have done what he did. Can't get a visa even with a legit cause? Thank people like the OP. No close visa dates thanks to increased background checks? Thank people like Watj. Valid asylum seekers are drowning with their children at the land border, children are held in cages with inadequate food and sanitation, abused and getting killed, OP and people like him add fuel to the idiotic fire that justify the inhumanity going on at the US borders.

The very things you complain about are the caused by actions like Watj has taken. He is selfish and irresponsible and I won't let him or anyone else feel good about themselves for being that way.

there is but you hardly know.. if you're self sponsor you will see it but if company or other people sponsored you won't see it. and that Is one of the reason most application are been denied.

They don't stamp but SCAN your passport out. You can even check your travel (entry and departure) history here https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home.

They don't need any airline to get your travel details.

I was even scanned and thumb-printed while departing via DFW last Sunday 17th June.
When I was going, I traveled through London Heathrow and it was another round of interview for EVERYONE-similar questions to the ones asked during visa interview. This was after the visa had been swiped so I have a feeling they were comparing answers.
PS: I’m a frequent visitor -like this is my 3rd US trip this year.

Sometimes when I read on NL I feel so sad because many people talking and accusing this man are also planning or have tried the same way he did but they are not successful with that and later realized they did the wrong it.

People like them they carry another person matter for head.

To me is better you stay low key and read. Here than bringing your problem or ideas here they will never appreciate it, na people like them go come here make mouth, mean why they are doing the same thing at the back
