Mane can be like that sometimes. Very frustrating

See ur dream team get no shot on target for almost 70 minutes

Remove that silly Niang and bring in Sar.
Move Mane to the centre.
Some of these coaches are so unintelligent.
Without Sarr, Senegal won't score!

Yea, you're right

Its surprising really

Even the best can be made to play badly when the right tactics are applied.

Linford Christie won gold at 32 in the Olympics and competed at 38 in the 1994 Olympics.

Carl Lewis competed at 35.

So your proposition is without any substance.

We are talking football not athletics.

Mention a few footballers who are in their 30s and have electric pace like Musa. .with and without the ball..

Mbaye Diagne is only just coming in. Is Niang actually a better striker?!

I really think sub Saharan refs are scared of making big calls against north African teams. It's almost like they (the refs) are intimidated.

You see that Mbaye Niang in #9. He has been rubbish even from the first game against Tanzania. I told Yara Yara and my staff that Ighalo is definitely better than that Niang. And Niang is one of Chriskels' boys oooo....

Not surprised with the scoreline. I have gauged the strength of both sides but Aliou Cisse is Senegal's bane.

He should at least start Onyekuru, Kalu and Osimhen

I feel strongly that those guys are hungry to prove themselves

I'm afraid Osimhen and Onyekuru won't get much game time in this tournament . They are good no doubt, but others were there before them...

It's Osimhen I feel for the most.. Onauchu don use that goal against Egypt to overtake him in the pecking order...

But seriously eh our team get depth o .. We have a 20+ goal striker in one of Europe's top 10 league on the bench...another 16 goal wing forward also on the bench ...

I'm loving this.

exactly cisse is not a great coach I've always felt for all the good players they have they are always lacking something tactical

Marco Ilaimaharitra of Madagascar (and I think Charleroi) scores a direct free kick.. First of the tournament.. Bravo!

Nairalandankrah but you said Burundi will THRASH Madagascar? And I remember saying Burundi may lose. See what I'm seeing.

Madagascar 1 - 0 Burundi. 82 minutes.
Yea we are all seeing what you are seeing

Chriskels is no where to be found loll.
The Algerian team is very good tactically and technically!
This Senegal team will definitely struggle to score against a strong side if Cisse fails to make changes by sitting Niang arse on the bench.
I do hope you are definitely here to stay Nerdy!
We missed your immense and invaluable contributions.

How many footballers are in that shape at 35??

Football is not a 100 meters sprint..

It's not the point, it's the fact that the possibility exists that a 35 year old can still have blistering pace.

Add to that the dynamics of genetic disposition of Africans and it becomes very plausible.

I remember watching a near 40 year old Taribo West burning top players for pace who were probably 15 years plus younger than him.

As in ehn. Even me the great Pessimist of this thread can't deny this fact and it is a thing of beauty.

However, the reason I want those guys to start is for their careers in Europe. Many European scouts are watching and lack of game time could mar their progress and even make them match rusty. Hence my reasons. Onuachu should take a back seat for now. At least for the match against madagascar

That's why Egypt are still favourites to win it...Home advantage will help them. .

The introduction of VAR may just make things worse... like we have seen at the world cup(and women world cup), VAR can be used to favour other teams...

Onomah is still eligible but competition is crazy. The likes of Foden, Maddison, etc are all ahead of him at the moment.
Now would be the perfect time to get him.

Foden is a different type of player to Tega but yes he is on the ascendancy, so also is Jaden Sancho.

Agreed this is the time to get him.

Taribo burning top players for pace

Even in his prime, he did not do that.

A football game lasts for 90 mins not 10 secs.. A 35 year old football player would normally not have the legs to sprint continuously in a match.

I've been following the commentary of some games on BBC... They are doing a very "British" commentary.
Never fail to attach one player to an English team grin

See how they described Omeruo yesterday. .

"Nigeria defender Kenneth Omeruo, one of those Chelsea guys who keeps going out on loan, tries a clever outside-of-foot cross which goes straight into the Guinea keeper's hands."
