I know you speak of the Burundi game. I'm only pointing how Rohr truly sees Etebo thus making it hard for him to go down that line. A switch would have worked and Mikel takes a step back into a deep lying role but Rohr was thinking.... "I have Musa, let me bring in Musa to the left."

Rohr obviously doesn't see LW as one of Etebo's alternate roles for the team.

TheGoodJoe:

I am talking of the Burundi game where Rohr did not start Musa. We had the same issue in the game we lost to South Africa. Just a switch of Etebo and Iwobi.

Cm midfielders are of different types. Some are better deployed as deep lying playmakers and good examples are pirlo, Michael Carrick, xavi just to mention a few while others with more pace, physicality and agility are deployed with the instruction to move the roam Tru and fro, good examples are essien, Kante, Toni kroos, Steven gerard, Paul Schole etc.

Offorborh falls in the category of those who performs better sitting deep. Bashiru will strive better as a box to box midfielder and Offorborh

Ya but he's creative and plays CM

Their is no need or rule to replace a box to box midfielder with another in the SE

We just need another midfielder with creative instint to complement Ndidi in the midfield

you are right but offorbour that i have seen play doesnt suit your ideal midfielder to complement ndidi unless you will deploy ndidi as the box to box midfielder while offorbour sits deeper and shield the back four which may turn out to be a huge risk.

from the players in our disposal that i believe will do well in that position in the future are zubairu, bashiru, onomah, ejaria, aribo, kingsley michael

Lol... Honestly I hope Kelechi Nwakali just comes good in the end. No more comments needed. Him matter don tire me. As for the other Kelechi in Iheanacho, I know he will be back.

TheGoodJoe:

The midfield genius (K. Nwakali) to take over Mikel has decided to shun football for Ukwu Nwayi's Owerri (Owerri girls bum bum). Who did this to us? grin

My problem with Ighalo is not that he didnt pass but his disgraceful attempt at goal....pathetic! It's embarrassing to have Ighalo as our top 9! As soon as he misses a goal he start raising his hands. Onyekuru, Osimhen, Onuachu and Chukwueze can do better.

Ndidi plays with Mikel who does the same things grin

As far as there is another midfielder besides him who creates Ndidi will be okay, the others are okay tho

I know Josh is good. I have watched him. He plays with heart and fearlessness. I just feel we can easily land Eze compared to Onomah. I really don't know where we are at with Onomah but with Eze, even Rohr knows about and have mentioned him.

Okay! I understand now.

Somehow I still believe in the lad. And I hope 2019/2020 sees him move to a decent league, decent team and get enough playing time to finally turn his potentials into the real deal. The talent is still there judging from his performance with our U-23s. And he will be in action again this summer against Sudan (sebi na Sudan we dey face?).

Hopefully 2019/2020 will be his ressurection.

I believe Iwobi will come good in the AM role.
The Super Eagles played a high level footy yesterday against a team that topped the Ivorians during the AFCON qualification.
The weather affected our play in the first (over 30degrees).
However, in the second half we played some really good footy as the weather was less sunny.
I have a question:
Why did we play ahead of group A?
Is it because the organisers did not want the Egyptians to play in such a dehydrating weather or what?
I was about asking the same question too...we were supposed to play after the pharaohs

I need to see Ovie play a complete season in a team that's not struggling for survival.

He did very well at Rangers but left too prematurely if you ask me.

onomah seem off the radar of the english fa because he was dropped for the euro u21 competition, same goes to lookman and ejaria. i am very sure eze will turn out for us but don't know when

Tega is too old he hit 22 in April so he is ready and willing to play for the SE.

In my opinion he is better than Eze although he needs an uninterrupted full season of competitive first team football. Either in the EPL or the Championship.

22 yr old players are considered in euro u21 competitions. onomah didnt have a great time on loan last season so that was the reason why he was dropped

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Belgian First Division A side Racing Genk are on the verge of announcing the signing of Nigeria international Stephen Odey.

The FC Zurich striker has arrived in Belgium to undergo a medical with the Belgian champions and they are planning to unveil him as a new player of Racing Genk as from tomorrow if he passes his medical.

At least four clubs were interested in signing the former Mountain of Fire FC star but Genk is where is heart is as he is keen on playing in the Champions League next season.

Odey has agreed personal terms with Racing Genk, paving the way for him to undergo a medical with the club.

The 21-year-old started his career as a right winger but eventually ended up being a striker due to his goalscoring qualities, and is blessed with both power and pace, and has the ability to shoot.

Last season, Odey scored 15 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions for FC Zurich and set up three goals.

Even if Musa is using football age,he can't be more than 30...

The older you grow, the weaker part of ur body becomes...

U can't be 30+ and run the way Musa does.. especially not under a 30°c+ weather...

Even Messi and Ronaldo who are in their 30s don't run like that...

Musa still got long life in the SE...He has been here since 2010 ..I see him setting the super eagles all time record appearance
