Stencil:
You have no Canadian experience right? I think you included it in your simulation so you should recalculate. I simulated your score based on the information you provided and got a CRS of 404

If you max out IELTS = 416
If you max out IELTS and get a 2nd degree = 449
If maintain 8777 and get a 2nd degree = 437

What is "hurting" your score is that you don't have that extra year of experience. If you have one extra year, that changes things and gives you a better chance. Think back, there might some job you did (however little) that might qualify and push you to 3 years work experience.

Thanks for breaking it down

For now it will be based on personal preference, we can compare after ICES states their new requirements.

You should note that there are other ECA bodies outside Wes &ices. We still have icas, Iqas and Ces, but Wes and ices seem to be more popular here.
Btw Wes & ices, Wes is faster than ices, but has Waec issue which makes people avoid them; another advantage with Ices is that ur transcript can be sent tru email , saving you the cost associated with courier. Ices doesn't send e-copy of ECA report like Wes, they only send hard copies

Hi
BCS is British computer society...
They offer diploma in I.T , the exam is written twice a year, September and March.
So for the September exam, result would be out by December and registration will close mid July. Wes evaluates the result + your Bsc as two or more certs.

Just google BCS, you will get to know all about the exam, or read about it on page 1.

Regards

So grateful for your reply.
I havent started the process yet, just prepping for IELTS.

PLS help guide me.

Hubby has a UK M.Sc
I have an M.Sc too

Hubby is currently formally employed 2 yrs+ (he was freelance before)
I am not currently employed, But I worked for 4years in a formal government organisation from 2012-2016. I do personal business now.

I know our educational qualifications & work experience are ok but based on age esp. hubby I'm a bit concerned. Please advise me.

I have written ielts 3 times. I feel sick after the third time cos I also lost my international passport. I was depressed and decided I wasn’t gonna try any more. My friend called me and asked me, what am I giving up to? Like even if it doesn’t work, i will still be in this country, is that what I want for my family? Will I eat my eca certificate and the reference letter and all other documents, that I should better brace up and go back and start writing. I don’t think am finish, no be person tell me to call Johnny bravo to fix a date. I ain’t giving up, cos at this stage, it goes beyond me. The future of my kids and their mother will be determined by my persistence or giving up. So my bro, we will see the end of this Canada.

You can evaluate only your Masters to avoid sending SSCE.

Thanks CheesyTee. Thought I won't need to evaluate my MS since it's obtained in the USA. Anyway, thanks.

Use the CRS tool on page 1

Both of you should take IELTS. I think you should definitely be the PA cos of age. Aim for 8777. Your spouse should also write.

Both of you should evaluate your Masters only.

Be the PA.
Calculate your CRS with LSRW 8777. You score should be high.
Your current status of employment doesn't matter. Get reference letters for your previous employment and you are so good to go.
Good luck

Good morning guys.
I'm a silent reader and I have an urgent question.
My current work experience is not up to 3 years and I need to hit the 3 years mark to increase my points but if I add the other experience I had in my previous employment it will be up to 3 years.
The only problem is that it's different noc types. First work experience is under noc 0 while my current work experience is under noc A.
My question now is does it matter? Does all the work experience absolutely have to be under the same noc 0 or under the same noc A.
An urgent response will be highly appreciated.

You can use different work experiences as long as they're are under the eligible NOCs. 0, A or B

It doesn't have to be under the same NOC as much as the paid work experience is either NOC 0,A or B. Just get reference letters for the jobs and attach either pay slips or account statements showing the inflow of salaries. #my2cents.

Good morning Topsmamen and other seniors
Thank you so much for all the great work you have been doing on this forum. God bless you immensely

Please I have a question. Can I claim sibling points for my sister who is a Canadian permanent resident residing in Quebec? I heard Quebec has its own EE process so I don't know if her being a resident of Quebec will make my sibling points claim untenable. Please kindly help clarify
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 10:00am On Jun 28, 2019
You don't need to be currently employed. Your age is a huge advantage. You mentioned one job that was four years long which is more than enough. You just need three years to get max points for past employment. Check that the NOC is within A, B or O. If you're not sure, you can post your job description here for assistance.

Hi
You've been given awesome reply, it's the best option.

From the info you gave,
You being the PA.
You & hubby having IELTS 8777 in LRWS , CRS will be 456 smileyand with you having IELTS 8.5,8.0,7.5,7.5 in LRWS, CRS will be 468 smiley.

Your hubby being the PA
with the above IELTS, CRS will be 331.

So it's better you be the PA... Just prep well so as to ace your ielts.

Please simulate your CRS yourself using this

Amen, thanks.

I see that the Quebec immigration stream states 3 points for having a sibling in Quebec. See this, this and this.

Kindly register for the ongoing BCS in Information Technology... Exams is in september.. results will be out in December.

Total cost is 78k max. This should get your points above 460.

https://www.bcs.org/get-qualified/international-higher-education-qualifications-heq/bcs-certificate-in-it/

Please how did you pay/register. Did you have to register as a member first? I have been on their website. How will you get preparatory materials for the exam? Where or how will the exam be written?

Thanks as your respond.

Thanks for your response. I appreciate.

Does it mean she can choose that NOC since two of her job descriptions fit.

I thought at least 80 percent of job descriptions should fit the NOC to be valid.
