You just spoke my mind. The church has always been at the receiving end once an issue like this occurs. Rape is a crime, agreed but this is christendom where the devil had been longing to pull down. I completely agree with you. The statistics of women who have encountered sexual assault at one time or the other in their lives is mind-blowing. The society has made it somewhat normal for women to internalise these experiences and bottle them in.
