The only problem with Bonny island is that it's not cheap. But for electricity it makes the other places people are calling here a joke.

If the light is cheap I am OK with other expenses

I don't wanna t metered light

Good day guys,
I work online as a freelancer on fiverr. I'm currently seeking a cheap town or place in Nigeria that I can get good supply of electricity (at least $12 hours or more). This is to enable me do online jobs and cut cost of buying petrol.
I would prefer somewhere cheap where I can get a decent self contain accommodation for around 70k. Also, I would like a place that has good security.

There's an old thread similar to this opened by a freelancer a few years ago but sadly I can't find it.

Please give me suggestions. I hear oshogbo is good choice.

Any other suggestions? Be as specific as possible. Thanks.

Okebola, Ibadan.
Aregbe/Fakunle/OgoOluwa, Osogbo.

Jebba north Niger state we can go a month uninterrupted
Jebba or kanji are about the best places yet.
It is a sleepy town with days of uninterrupted supplies. It is a settlement of many tribes too. You can try if you have all you need to create your modernity and serenity is assured.

It is also relatively safe, with an airforce base and army outpost.

Also, relatively cheap economically.

A little that I know.

Also, maybe Tunga area of minna niger state
You can get days of almost interrupted power supply from shiroro dam.

Chai i feel sorry for Rivers State I was going through the post and I doubt if up to 5 people recommended Rivers State in terms of constant power supply. Anyways op whatever you want to consider even if you want to settle in Rivers State goto places like Igbo ETCHE I heard they have constant light because of the Afam power plant or Igwuruta but make sure you make enquiries before you rent any house cos of insecurity cos a small boy of 15years can move around comfortably with gun in PH without any fear. This days once is 7pm I stay Indoors.

Bonny Island would have been a perfect place for you, just that a minimum of self contained house here is 96,000 per year. And things like food stuffs are not cheap as well, but there is 24/7 light always

96k isn't too bad.

Tell more about the place pls

I know jos is nice and cheap. But as someone who has never been to jos, I'll have a constant anxiety attack due to fear of the unpredictable religious crisis.
Some of the best people I've met grew up in jos.

Akobo is your best option in Ibadan. I can guarantee at least 14 -16(even more sef) hours light daily (if there's nothing wrong with the transformer sha). House rent can be a bit expensive in the "estates" sha

A second option, is obaniyi area around Ijaye, Lagos (at least 18 hours guaranteed) House rent is moderate except you want to stay inside runsewe estate ..

A third option is Keffi in Nasarawa state, stay in the GRA... Na light go kee you last last grin
Keffi kwa?
Na absence of light for GRA make me run go Karu site.
Surprised no one has mentioned Ajaokuta.
