ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
1.To qualify for admission into any of the postgraduate programmes of the University, a candidate must meet, among others, all matriculation requirements of at least five (5) credit passes including English Language and Mathematics. Some programmes accept at least a pass in Mathematics.

2. For Postgraduate Diploma Programmes, Candidates must possess either a minimum of pass Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a University recognised by the Senate of the NOUN OR a Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Lower Credit. For the Postgraduate Diploma in Legislative Drafting, the candidate must have been called to the Bar. Also for admission into the school of Business and Human Resource Management Postgraduate Diploma programmes,

3.For Master degree programmes, candidates must possess either a Bachelors Degree with a minimum of second class lower in the relevant field of study from a University recongnised by the Senate of the NOUN. However, holders of lower classificationOR a Postgraduate Diploma in related field of study from a recongnised University.

4. For the Doctor of Philosophy Degree prorammes, candidates must possess a masters degree in relevant field of study from a University recongised by the Senate of the NOUN with a minimum score average of not less than 60% or a cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 on a 5-point scale. We wish to inform you that the registration of students portal for 2019/2 have commenced and as well implore you to please don't make any payment till 3 July, because portal maintenance is still ongoing, to avoid uncredited payment issues
We noticed wallet balance / negative balance on students portal i.e 12,000 (-180500). Please don't panic its due to portal audit and site maintenance.
If you still see such negative amount on your wallet, please try and visit your study centre bursary to clear yourself

YOUR WALLET BALANCE

Many of you repeatedly ask about the Negative numbers at your portal home page (-20,000) meanwhile I've told you that your WALLET BALANCE can now be found inside your wallet as follows:

STEP 1
Login to your portal at http/www.nouonline.net/stuser.php

STEP 2
Click on MANAGE WALLET

STEP 3
Click on VIEW WALLET

STEP 4
Scroll down (after payment into wallet and expenditures from the wallet)to the bottom of the page and you would see where it's written:

Your balance is...

NOTE: Whatever you see there is your balance. If it's negative then it's assumed you're owing the school but if it's positive, it's assumed you're not owing the school.
Please at the top of your wallet check if the values in the AMOUNT you paid and AUDITED columns are the same.

If the AUDITED column is blank, then it means your payments have not been Audited. So don't panic about negative signs.

If your wallet balance is still negative you would've to print your wallet and take the evidence of those payments to your study Centre's bursary to rectify it immediately and start your new Registrations.

The negative balance you usually see immediately after login equals the total amount that NOUN deducted from the money you paid into your wallet.

UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
100 Level
Generally, the requirements for getting admission into the National Open University of Nigeria include five (5) credits in the SSCE/GCE O’Level/NECO/NABTEB or equivalents at not more than two (2) sittings obtained in subjects relevant to the proposed field(s) of study. The five (5) credits include Credits in Mathematics, English and 3 other relevant subjects. More details can be found under programmes. http://nou.edu.ng/index.php/programmes

200 Level
i) National Diploma at Upper Credit from recognized institutions.

ii) National Certificate in Education (NCE) in subject(s) relevant to the proposed programme of study with a minimum of one merit and two passes.

iii). International Baccalaureates, Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) with at least two ‘A’ Level papers in relevant subjects and pre-requisite number of ‘O’ Level credit passes.
