It's lie, I have seen this black-bodied and redheaded bird in my village in Edo state years ago when was young, farming with my parents and I used to shoot catapult to hunts birds and squirrels at lot.

Ibadan Malimbe, Malimbus Ibadanensis is not endemic to Ibadan.

So many other reports shows that it exists in other places. And not as a migrant bird either.

The Malimbus Ibadanensis known as the "Ibadan Malimbe", is a rare red-headed bird which cannot be found anywhere in the world except Ibadan.

The bird is about 20 centimeters long. The male is black with a red head and breast. The female has smaller red areas.

The bird forages in pairs or small groups, sometimes alongside the red-headed malimbe (Malimbus rubricollis). It lives in forest and woodland habitat, including degraded areas.

lol.. I've seen this bed lots of times here in the east.. They actually used to cluster on several palm trees in one bush just across my house where I grew up.. heard they are attracted to red fruits.. dunno shaa.. Pepper and palm fruit is usually set as bait to catch them
