Both teams were poor heading to the knock out stage.. I gave Cameroon the edge because they had not conceded and they have a superior goalkeeper. At least my prediction is based on substance. Did I hope that Nigeria would win, yes. But when it comes to making my opinions known, I'd rather be objective.

Your opinion thou ,but sorry ,say e get keeper wey no dey concede goal ?

How can you give a team edge because of goal keeper ?

Bros dem no dey catch goal

Andre onana collecting come back defeat from back to back for club and country

Why KANU no pursue coaching career? I think the camera caught him when he was lecturing one of the coaching crews moment before the second half.

Moses Simon couldn't create even a single chance till he was yanked off the pitch. So much for his defending abilities that made us go down 2-1

Yours is to bring down some "players" in other for "your" players to play. The bring down syndrome that has destroyed this country.

Continue to deceive yourself. I can read your heart like an open book.

To be honest this Cameroon too was very weak in group stage and still the weakest Cameroon team I ve ever seen, yet we still struggled to beat them. This means that we are not much better than them.

Our next opponent, if it will be Egypt is going to be tough.

You are echoing my mind.

You have just summarized my opinion of this match.

We have chosen to be blind to this simple fact

Games against Cameroon are always more than a game. For those of us that swallowed the bitter pills of 84, 88 and 2000 AFCONs each time we beat Cameroon it is always more than a win for us. grin

Still in a dancing mood. I no get time for arguments yet.

Cameroon qualified from a much tougher group with a +2 goal difference while not having conceded in any match

The same couldn't be said of us. We had 0 goal difference and conceded two goals against a much weaker team.

Lest I forget, we also have a poor coach. We had also beaten them before so they had a big point to prove

Which tough group ? As if they collected 9 point from the tough group

Cameroon have not won naija from open play since 1989

Not conceding goal doesn't makes anyone a good team

Why dem go conceded when to take shot on target dey hard Ghana and co

I speak of Awaziem.

darkelf:

Let me correct your assertion.

I didn't single out Ighalo. I blamed the entire team except Ndidi. And truthfully they were below average during the first two matches and poor against Madagascar

Chukwueze came in, and they sent two players to mark him, hence creating a space behind for our attackers to pounce. His introduction won us the match. I dont even wanna talk about the clear cut chances he created for our attackers to waste.

Its chuks doesn't know where goal post is

Supporting South Africa to win Egypt ,even apart from me preferring eagles to meet them (I am not writing them off )

But I can't see my self supporting any North African team against any team with black skin

Yes and I am not speaking falsely

Awaziem was poor and was exposed many times today.

In fact, the entire defense made too many errors today

Yesterday I looked up NIG- CMR h2h, damn I was surprised we have won more matches, so I wonder why they took 3 Afcon from us, not even 2-1 but all 3 finals....even in Lagos

Jay Jay Okocha scored the equalizing goal to eliminate Cameroon in 2004 (not sure though)

Alex Iwobi scores the winning goal to eliminate Cameroon 15 years later

Yes they are weak , but when it comes to rivalry forget weakness , Cameroon played one of their best game so also SE ... we re not at our best yet until we meet our match ... today we just met one of our match in the competition and I am so sure our next game will not be a stroll in the park ... the only thing this Cameroonian team lacked is speed , interns of been strong ,fit and rugged ... they re miles ahead . Their goals did showed that .

If I ask you what happened in the game, all you will say is Ighalo, Musa and Simon are the problem.

Is that how to read and interpret games?
