we are already working with a pathner now and they are oyibo people,we are mostly into piggery and cattle breeding,we are just using the manure generated from the farm for cucumbers and pepper, if you can get a good pathner in piggery invest in it,that were the bulk money is.

Selling in Mile 12 Market. The price 2 weeks ago at first harvest was really but has dropped sin then. The prices at the moment is 3k~3.5k for Jorad (dark green) and 2k~2.5k for CU999. But all in all, I cant complain.

Hi, I didn't register with the association. I have a broker (middleman) who handles the sales in Mile 12 so all I do is drop the bags for him and typical within 24 hours they are sold and money is sent to my account. The broker takes 10 percent of the total sale value.

it's advisable,I think the best will be pre emergence herbicides like atrazine, xtraforce,etc,at least you can breath for some months before weeds will come up again,but u will leave the land for rain to fall on it and you can plant after 1 week

well all modern agrochemicals are compatible with each other except herbicides,that saaf fungicide can no longer be trusted this rainy season,the pressure of Downy mildrew is much that one fungicide alone can no longer protect a crop,we are now using a combination of ridomil gold(copper) and zforce every 7 days,wormforce is ₦1700 for 1 kg,yes, phostrogen can be used if you target that rain will not fall at least 6 hrs after spraying,urea is ₦8000-10000 a bag depends on location.

this is the type of news that will lift any farmers spirit,if you see a harvest like that ,you have seen a stressed farmer,hardwork,sweat and sheer determination, sitting on an armchair and putting up theories and analysis can never produce 400 bags,you have to go out on the field and take it from mother nature,real farmers don't have time for too much unnecessary analysis because at the end of the day they are usually tired.

from roughly 1 acre of land,wiz2019 will get 500 bags of cukes in total harvest and he sold at the Rock bottom prices of ₦2500 per bag,that 1 acre has generated in excess of ₦1,250,000 in 60-70 + days,I challenge anyone to show me a crop that can pull such stunt from 1 acre in such time, imagine if the prices are even ₦5-4000k,we are getting ready for the dry season ,no retreat,no surrender!!!

Means you got an average of about 6 fruits per seed for the Darina f1. It's cool. You'd have probably gotten more bags with Murano 2 or Cu999. Cos the Darina f1 is small in size. Cu999 fruit is almost twice Darina fruit.

at 120 pieces per bag,I am projecting 6.5 cucumbers per plant,not a bad production considering the relentless attack of downy mildrew this rainy season and the medium size of the cukes,it's a good production,but I think if you did Murano it may yield more, because Murano is bigger than darina.

I think even wk5 is a little too late sef,at 20 days make sure you use any means possible to feed more nutrients to the crops,to have more lateral shots,flowers set and so on,if you wait to see fruits before fertilization it will be too late.

we removed our old farm because it was heavily infested by DM and due to close proximity to our fresh new farm,the disease jumped into the new farm even with the saaf we are using weekly,hmmm!fresh farm that is flowering we have not got 1 naira from to succumb to DM,God forbid !!!,we got original copper fungicide from syngenta and used it last 5 days and the spread of DM stopped automatically and salvation is in sight,rainy season is not time to play with China and India fungicides because disease don't come to play.

I am battling a new bout of DM again, but I 've sprayed R.Gold once so far, as well as cut off infected leaves to slow down spread.

we spray ridomil every Wednesday and zforce every Saturday or Sunday,DM must be crushed!!!

Looks like that harvest is from the bush and not near your house.
