To slow to react. In the last few minutes, it was obvious our mildfield collapsed due to fatigue.

Unfortunately, no player to replace them on the bench.
you can't really blame him, extra time was looming who would he bring in? Mikel? he needed to be careful not to upset the balance of the team at such a crucial time

Let's stop consoling our self by saying the better team won, the truth is simply we are not good enough.

Rohr should just quietly resign
Rohr should import players from Spain to come and play for us?

The players gave their best

I won't blame Akpeyi for that. Mahrez would have scored even against the best GKs with that well taken freekick
The wall is one side why are you moving there when the ball is kicked? He made the same mistake against Argentina in our friendly.

But anyways the blame should go to Rohr. I hope he can sell those subs on amazon because the midfield was getting ran over and it was Argentina all over again.

Bloody hell! We were served our own poison (Late goal grin) But hey, we only have ourselves and maybe luck to hold responsible

Bros if after coaching the same set of players for over three years and yet your team is only good enough for the semifinal which we have reached 15 times out of 18 then maybe it is not the team that isn't good enough but you.
Although more difficult to reach semi final in 2019 than previous editions - first time 24 teams contested.

Quality players make quality teams.

We lacked quality in some key areas our Defence is weak.

Frankly, Rohr should have been sacked since the world cup...he cost us a place in the second round.

Ekong was shiit in this game yet Rohr planned to use him till extra time.
The midfield was empty...pull one of the tackling ninjas (ndidi preferably) out and bring in Mikel
The decision to remove Chukwueze for Onyekuru was crap.

Keshi achieved a lot more with home based players...Rohr can't find a decent goalkeeper from the home based players...our football has retrogressed under Rohr, he should resign honourably.

Oga u can coach a team 4 10yrs but there is tendency to succumb to defeat against a more organized team who hv better quality players.

Fergie spent over 20 yrs coaching in man utd but lost games to lowly rated clubs in England and Europe.

the team has done well , i am impressed ... either 3rd or 4th i am satisfied ... the better side won . I Said it from the beginning that they should clip Benacer ... he has been the shinning light in the game

Algeria was clearly the superior team. The SE couldn't have played any better. I foresee Algeria lifting the cup.
Rohr... If the NFF must change him, the should do so immediately after the AFCON else further delay could lead to breakdown of the rebuilding he started.
Rohr isn't a bad coach but is too conservative.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by forgiveness:
What was Ogu doing in the team if he was not good enough to replace Ndidi or Etebo?

Why did that goalkeeper coach keep giving us useless goalkeepers without given others the chance to prove themselves?

Why did Rohr take two unfit players to the AFCON?

Some of these players are in the national team just for match bonuses they will get and share with....

He stayed at the middle of the post. That was his safest berth. It's not like the ball cannot be curled over the wall to the other side of the goal post.

who should Rohr have brought in. The only players we have not tested are Osimhen and Uzoho

Out of 24 teams, 2 teams reached the final

So the other 22 teams should sack their coaches?

I warned that this nonsense would bite us on the ass sooner or later but we got carried away.

The better team won today

Rohr tried his best with the players available to him

We shouldn't be quick to sack him but I think we need to get sound backup tactician.

Sacking him means starting from the scratch. New coach, new players, new team which takes years.

So far, Rohr hasn't done too badly.

Let us remember where we were before Rohr. We couldn't make back to back Nations cup tourneys. If at our first nations cup, we get to the Semi-finals, then that's saying a lot about how much the Super Eagles has transformed.

Although, I would've loved if we carried the day, this result helps us to realistically gauge our capabilities in football

Let's give Rohr some more time, I believe that the sky can only be our limit in future

Unbelievable

Our players were crap....this is an Algerian team who played a day after Nigeria, went to war with ivory coast and played extra time....and our midfield was fatigued?

They were so heavy...Algeria won most of the second balls....passing was poor and ighalo was blunt

We were terrible....and deserved to be beaten....congrats to Algeria

Otedola and dangote should invest in grassroot football...not to promise 75,000 for each goal

Chukwueze shouldn't have been taken out, Onyekuru position is left wing not the right moreover musa did absolutely nothing, Ighalo should av been subbed off too, may be we were hoping to play penalty.

The team need to improve in their organization and team work. You can't get lucky all the time playing like this. At the most part, we were not really an organized side.

That ball was too close to the box no way Mahrez scores over the wall.

Mikel of course. Even Ogu would have been an upgrade our boys (Etebo &Ndidi) were tired. Look at the foul Ndidi gave away it was completely unnecessary
