why can't we Mark out their player instead of allowing them to pass, the free kick was a tactical error, we were busy with zonal marking instead of marking them out

That was a fast FK, he placed it well and he scored.

No blame blame here.

Algeria was better than us.

Accept defeat sir.

I would have put on Mikel but does he have the legs to run around midfield?

4 minutes to go.

They were hitting bar, hitting "legs" and there was no leadership on the field to ginger the players to rise to the occasion, even if you have to fall down and waste time.

Almost same issue we had versus Argentina in World Cup

Na only Rohr dey dis world.
Suggest a coach now people will be bringing funny names. Typical of Nigeria, never build on what was built but rather tear it down and start all over again only to lose again. Rohr's record speaks for him. Get him a tactician and forge ahead

Anytime we put on that green jersey, we're not winning any match. That jersey is a bad luck lipsrsealed

I won't blame Akpeyi for that. Mahrez would have scored even against the best GKs with that well taken freekick

lexyman:

yes ....go and check , that is a wrong positioning ,you dont stand behind the wall .... gave room for Maharez

Congratulations Algeria.

The better team won.

Congratulations Super Eagles.

You have put in your Best.

Better luck next time.
,

Good thing is that we genuinely have young players in this team and other upcoming ones. It's time for the older guys to bow out and leave the stage for the younger ones.

Let's stop consoling our self by saying the better team won, the truth is simply we are not good enough.

Rohr should just quietly resign

I don’t think you watched the game. They dominated the first half and the final ten. They remained focused. They were simply the better team.

Fear is not a good thing. Akpeyi is in the goalpost for them to score. Once they score he's relieved.

I never see such a poor gk in my life. If the ball doesn't come directly to him, forget it,na goal.

Sack Rohr, sack rohr and replace him with who exactly?
The guy has tried for our football. I wpuld rather they employ a tactician to support him. We have a big defensive problem but have been scalling through. Now is the time to continue scouting for talents. Next stop is the u17 world cup.
Thank you all

Why not just employ the tactician then...Rohr should go

That's where big players come in.

Folks refused to agree Mahrez is a big player.
Mahrez is the only big player in both team

Our lack of a playmaker cost us today

Guerdiola and Feghouli controlled the midfield from start to finish

They told us Feghouli is not world class but Ndidi is.

Leave pple wey no get sense. A coach that was brought in when the super eagles was in a mess, qualified us for the world cup and afcon which we couldnt qualify for the last 2 editions and made it to the semifinals.

I'm not against the football federation sacking Rohr but let's give respect and honor to who deserves it.

Honestly, we were good enough for just the semis..
This team is not there yet.. we need to put in more work.. we must go back to the drawing board.

Bros if after coaching the same set of players for over three years and yet your team is only good enough for the semifinal which we have reached 15 times out of 18 then maybe it is not the team that isn't good enough but you.

Let us stop the blame game pls. Some of us were even surprised we went pass cameroon based on what we have been playing.

For me it is about quality. We need a keeper and more midfielders

I would have taken off Musa instead of Samu. Burt that does not still guarantee anything.

Chukwueze has played one season of first team football. He doesn't have a lot of experience what propels him rew talent.

The Algerians studied him and simply caged him, he got little or no supply but his end product is still in need of a lot of work.

I would have subbed Awaziem for Simon and Still taken off Chukwueze for Onyekuru.

I would have taken off Aina for Collins and looking for Onuachu so we can get physical and play last 10 minutes police game, i.e. ball in the air long ball for Onuachu to hold up. That means I would have taken off Iwobi.

Man of the match for me was Etebo
