It is different bro. Make sure you have a travel insurance. The social security is generally for everyone studying in France and covers only 30% of the cost of Medicals. You will still have to register another one even when u get there housing and Medical insurance which can cost up to 30euro monthly

Yea, I have with cornerstone insurance. I bought it at the rate of 15850 nairas for three months . Which company's travel insurance are you using? The Erasmus program I am going for, is a backup. I intend to go for US visa interview after France. Is this ideal? Though I am yet to schedule an appointment at the US embassy. Still waiting for my i20.

Hmmm. Personally I think you can flaunt this to the VO but you don’t know when the French Embassy will release your passport to you.
Another thing is that, you might not get appointment anymore with the US Embassy ooo except maybe in Abuja.

The last time I checked with my profile for someone, the next available date was September in lagos and August 26 in Abuja. But he got July 30th in Abuja after rescheduling his appointment

Modified: you can get an expedited appointment date when you receive your I-20 so you are good to go

I will apply for an expedite appointment for the US interview. And I will also request for a letter from the international office of my school saying that I can enter the States after enrollment in my department. It is not my fault. I have not seen where schools will request for proof of income of sponsor on remaining deficits. If not for my advisor, I would have bounced the school. I expressly told him yesterday that I am considering my other options, and he immediately told me by Monday, he will see what he will do more on the matter. He even told me to schedule a visa appointment ASAP . I said that's not possible without my i20 lol.

Aiico is an American company, that's why it's higher. I visited their office in Jos, and I was told same price. I ran away with the speed of light!

Vital documents like admission letter, travel insurance, Bank statement of sponsor(original) if you are using a sponsor. Guarantee letter, your passport data page, accommodation certificate, should be colored. Others, can be black and white. You will be fine!

Yeah, most platform haven't implemented the AMEX portal into their payment method, but i think Transferwise accept it.

You can read more about Paying by Card here: https://transferwise.com/help/15/paying-for-your-transfer/2556723/paying-by-card

What french bank is the school using?

Guys I’m looking to get a schengen tourist visa and my company would be my sponsor. What are my chances of getting the visa?
I don’t have any travel history I’ve only been to republic of Benin because that was where I had my undergraduate degree.

Why not apply for your US Visa in Paris? You stand a far higher chance of getting it, i believe.

Ok, i asked for the bank details to know if the bank your school uses operate in the UK like most French banks but Trésor Public is more of a state owned institution.
So the best bet is to use that platform or others like it to do the transfer.

Oh thank you. I was thinking that the process might be lengthy. And moreover, I am applying for a French student visa. My appointment is this Friday. I am thinking that applying for US student visa in Nigeria will be seamless. What do you think?

The US visa application might or might not be seamless, but why risk it when you can settle down comfortably and apply for your US visa in the French Republic. Getting a rejection in Nigeria might also have an impact on your application in La France.

My advice: Get your Long Stay Student Visa, travel to France and apply for the US visa after you validate your student visa.
