Hello house, kindly advise me on this issue. I wanted to pay for my school fees in France for graduate study @universite Saclay Paris. I was asked to pay the tuition fees through bank transfer (not online payment) and my sponsor is in UK, said he can only pay through his credit card. I have mailed the school to send me online payment route, but no response yet. I don't know if there is other way I can sort out this problem. Is there any intermediary/agent that accept online payment and transfer to school directly.

Thank you.
I don't think schools in France do the online payment route except it is a specialised service.

Since you have their bank details, your sponsor can use "TransferWise" for a fee; though i don't know their funds limit, and the school will get value the next working day.

I have transferred money from my UK bank account to my French account using the platform and there was no issue.

Hi, are you sure university of Paris saclay told you to pay your fees before arriving? I doubt that. The fees for all students have been slashed to about 243euros or so among the member universities. Except if the member institution have their own high charges as some do. This is on their website. Which of the member university or grand ecole did you gain admit to? University of Paris Saclay, is a body of two universities and about 10 grand ecoles with just Ecole polytechnic pulling away this year. I am heading for an Erasmus program at ENS Paris Saclay!

What’s the best document to submit for landed properties and houses when applying for a Visa.

Is the Survey document enough? Or lagos state Tax document?

Cyberknight. Would you please help me with this.

Hello house,

I would like to apply for a schengen visa, but plan to spend 2 months there. No, I'm not going to work. I'm planning to volunteer and do a little traveling and research for my business. Please how do I justify this long stay. I'm afraid of saying I'm spending just a few days or weeks and then I might then be issued a 1 or 3 month visa with just 30 days duration. I don't also want to write a lengthy explanation that may not be tactical. Can someone please help me?

P.S: I have a good travel history, I also got a schengen visa from france in may and i travelled for 2 weeks.

Regarding the short-stay visa category, the only thing the embassies will countenance now for holders of our devalued green passport is tourism or a short course (maybe up to 3 weeks) related to your career/area of activity. Forget volunteering, that's for people from countries with stronger passports (i.e. people from developed western countries). They'll find the idea of a Nigerian volunteering not credible so try to fit your planned stay into any of these categories above or chart another credible itinerary filled with verifiable and potentially profitable activities and justify why you want to do this.

I'm afraid I really don't know about what would be the best document to provide for visa applications for France and the Schengen zone since I've never sent in any evidence of ownership of landed property along with my applications for a Schengen visa.

However, in the end, basically you give them what you've got. So present whatever documents you/your sponsor have showing title (a deed of assignment, Governor's consent or a C of O). If you don't have a C of O, which is the definitive title document in Nigeria, you should present any and all documents you can get hold of between now and the time you have to submit your visa application, which is a cut-off date for you anyway.

Do they accept American Express card, the school have sent me online payment but accept only visa and master card only, the sponsor has tried but all efforts prove abortive. Find below the screen shot. Anybody with idea of the way out.

Thank you.

Yeah, most platform haven't implemented the AMEX portal into their payment method, but i think Transferwise accept it.

You can read more about Paying by Card here: https://transferwise.com/help/15/paying-for-your-transfer/2556723/paying-by-card

What french bank is the school using?

Hi.
You have to go as early as 7am cos even 8am might be late. They have too many applicants to attend to and have a specific number they allow in per day. Some people are there as early as 3am, so you can imagine.

I just realized that my admission letters covers my social security as a student of the program. It was expressly written. Is this different from travel insurance? Because yesterday I bought a travel insurance with cornerstone. Hope I didn't waste my money.

It is different bro. Make sure you have a travel insurance. The social security is generally for everyone studying in France and covers only 30% of the cost of Medicals. You will still have to register another one even when u get there housing and Medical insurance which can cost up to 30euro monthly
