Vic Mo has regressed and may not even listen to any calls out of retirement.

His conversion to a wingback in Chelsea limited his attacking instincts and dulled it over time.

Ighalo should just stay put. Begging a Nigerian player out of retirement is tantamount to creating a demi-god in a team who may start disrespecting the coach and may even form a cabal. That is the way I see it. I don't think Ighalo understudied any person when he came into the team. All our young attackers have clubs where they can learn. The National Team is a place to apply what you have learnt and not the other way round
regressed? Are you the one who regressed him?

Vicmo is still his usually self he had not regress

and mind you clubs does not trains a player for the NT, cos its a new thing all togather in the NT,

rather its how you acquictted yourself in the NT that clubs seize upon to improve you

Let's flip the coin. If it was a Nigerian coach that got all the resources + salary, free hand, friendlies (No Nigerian coach has ever enjoyed this) that got us this result, would those calling for Rohr's retention want that coach to stay?

Amodu Shuaibu achieved more than Rohr with less than half of what Rohr was given

Keshi achieved more than what Rohr achieved with half of what Rohr got

Yet we still want to waste $1m on a 66yrs old foreigner. Nigeria prefers to train an old foreigner on the job while still paying him the salary of a professional coach.

Do we think at all?

who cursed us?
LOL! It's a pity bro... But there's a positive side to it and that is the fact that:

1: Out current pool of players will be maintained and not be dispersed, and the needed understanding, familiarity and cohesion between them would only get better on and off the pitch.

2: Rohr's delighting and effective philosophy of consistently procuring foreign born players of dual nationality into the team is a big boost for us.

3: indigenous coaches obviously tend to be most biased and horridly l highly partial in their player selection... An ugly issue that has severely plagued the team in the past. No one pray that to happen again.

I'm still in the dark as to why some folks still in doubt of Moses' credibility and some other certain functionalities he offers this team. Alot has deserted the team and some poeple do not know that v Moses took them along with him.

Oil dey your head my guy. But talking Moses out of retirement is a good idea for me. over 50% percent of our team's attacking flair, creativity, fear factor, unpredictability and experience deserted our dear SE by the time Moses left the team.

And Returning to international football is always a good omen for a player who's career is seemingly backsliding... I just pray that Moses comes back. Make Rohr and Pinnick call that guy back abeg.
What is good for the goose is good for the gander

Begging any player, whether Messi or Ronaldo, Ighalo or Moses is a NO NO for me

A truly patriotic player will give his utmost best in matches. He doesn't need begging to play for his country, He is ready to die on the pitch for his country.

I don't want any player feeling bigger than the team. I don't want any cabal formation in my beloved Super Eagles.

NB I warned them about taking Mikel to AFCON but I was met with insults. In the same vein, I vehemently oppose any calls for Moses and Ighalo. Let them stay retired while we look to the future. We have some hungry, younger guys looking for opportunity. We mustn't waste such opportunities on old retirees

Oga I never mentioned any player to be begged. Please try and comprehend my writeup. Moses should be amicably spoken with the aim of convincing him that we need and want him back and he needs us too. I'm sure he'd personally like to come back... He'll be happy to. He needs us as we need him and that is a fact bro. He'll bring much confidence and the reducing fear factor which is becoming evident back to the team, especially the attack which is dominated by greenhorns and inexperience. Please understand..

He doesn't have to be a Messi, because every ambitious team has, and critically needs a "Messi" of their own one way or the other. I Take this to the bank!

And for your information I never mentioned Ighalo... We don't need him that much- he's too flat -footed and age is easily yelling on him.

But Moses is the really much needed let's be realistic and tell ourselves the truth bro. Sometimes in life you have to be humble to get what you need. It's for the good of the team and its young players... Imagine a team where we have the young aspiraring Chukze, Onyekuru and other young attackers with Moses, he will complement their efforts, confidence and psychology.

Mikel is gone, Odion is gone, and Musa is disappointingly failing to lead and ginger our front line. And it's not looking like he'll change or even improve anytime soon, Chai!!

If Patriotism, Hunger, Being Younger, were the only attributes for Success then India with thier young hungry population would win the world cup every year.

Nobody currently can replace Victor Moses and Ighalo currently, who are only 28 and 30 years.

The attack is as good as there is on the continent. Firstly sure the attack is not made up of the Centre Forwards alone, right? No need to go into further detail on that point.

As for Osimhen and Onachu, these are strikers high on confidence following very successful seasons at club level. They lack international exposure BUT this may also work to their advantage! They offer the physicallity required when facing African defenders, the aerial threat severely lacking in the team in recent years AND most importantly they score goals!!

With these players mixed and deployed effectively with the underappreciated Ighalo, who in my view will make the squad of every team in the tournament and the likes of Musa, Iwobi, Simon and Chukwueze providing support we can be hopeful of some excitement to come.

We do not have a blunt attack, not even from a pessimistic view point. We are 3rd favourite to win the thing!
I remember saying this.... smiley

Ighalo we know had the highest number of goals.

But for Aina to have the highest number of interceptions, I did not know considering he was dropped for two games TOTALLY UNJUSTIFIABLY if you ask me and didn't get too play all the games that puts him ahead of all our defenders and is essentially OUR BEST DEFENDER, no bias just FACT.

Are you kidding me? What tournament has Gernot Rohr ever won in his coaching career?

Herve Renard, on the other hand, has led two countries to be AFCON Champions (Zambia and CIV). In addition, he led Morocco to Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, and to the World Cup in Russia in 2018 - the first time they had played at the global event for 20 years. And took Morocco from 81st in the Fifa world rankings to 47th in less than 2 years! That's almost a 40 points jump!

And btw, where did you get this idea that Morocco is arguably the most talented team in the tournament? How many players does this Moroccan team has in the Champions League teams?

O pari

Earthquake2:
How exactly is Herve Renard better than Rohr?

Imagine not passing to quarterfinals with arguably the most talented team in the tournament, You say he is an attacking coach did you watch the match against Benin, they lacked bite and were lucky to score through a defensive mistake

The grass is always greener on the other side for you guys
