No doubt the people you mentioned were really intelligent and opened up new possibilites for our world by their invention and discoveries, but then that is all there is. It doesn't therefore mean that Einstein because he made important contributions to Quantum mechanics and modern physics that he somehow is superior to Shakespeare, Beethoven, and the likes, because you would not know if Einstein would go that far in the arts and Shakespeare in the sciences.
Judge people by what they are and not by what they are not.

Moreover, I have not even remotely implied that Adichie is not intelligent. I only wrote that she is not one of the most intelligent women in the world. She is creative, no doubt, but that is not a proof of an overly intelligent being.

You would be surprised that her IQ is only barely above average. You can't compare her to someone like Marie Curie.

I happen to think Adichie is a Marie Curie of her own place and time. She is teaching girls their potential not to rear piglets for a pig who'd get her pregnant and wouldn't even feed it's own piglets which stops her going to school and being a better life for her and her kids.
