Good morning.
I have a 64bit Core i3 hp which I've been trying to install Autodesk Inventor 2017 on for a while now but it's not installing.

What could be the cause and any recommendation?

Thanks

Hi.
udemzyudex rightly pointed out the two main issues.

1. BIOS: A corrupt or outdated BIOS can actually give this nightmare (not a nightmare actually grin).

But before thinking of a corrupt BIOS, let's look at the possibility that the BIOS is outdated.

Now, to update your BIOS, you have to get into the OS. This can be achieved by toggling a few settings in BIOS SETUP.

the issue here is that we can't possibly know your type of BIOS or type of interface! hence you'll need to see a technician.

2. RAM: whilst it's not a bad idea to check if the RAM is faulty, I believe the error message at the bluescreen kinda points direct fingers at the BIOS.

*cheers*

Hello.

...in the middle of work... Hmm

1. Excessive heat is a great enemy of computers —particularly laptops.

For this reason, every PC comes with an jnbuilt mechanism that triggers it off should the heat exceed manageable limits.

Reasons for this spike in temperature include

# Blocked vents : preventing air from properly circulating... Thus building up heat within the system.

Fix: clean up vents.

# Overheating component(s): this contributes to the overall heat and overtime builds heat.

Fix: check for component and replace

#Failing fan : need I explain further? The fan does the main job of taking in air and blowing hot air out... If it fails, MOBO temperature is bound to rise.

Fix: Replace fan

2. Outdated thermal framework drivers : Though this is highly improbable... But. It's worth considering.

Fix: re-install appropriate drivers.

*cheers*

Unless you're a hardcore DIYer, it's already clear you'll be needing a technician.... Aaaaannd I can be of service. Kindly call/whatsapp here: 09082687404

Good morning all,
Please I haven't used my HP laptop for a while now and I decided to use it yesterday, only to find out it couldn't come on. I removed the battery, and pressed the on button for 30seconds and put it back and powered it back but it stil didn't work. I checked d charging pot light to see if it was chsrging and it was faint.

Please what do you think is wrong?

Hello.

Too bad.
Whatever DIY tips given on here regarding the issue of your PC may not work.

Whilst it may look like a simple electrostatic issue, it might just be a bridge on the board, seeing that you've actually left the system for quite some time.

This means you will have to see a technician to do proper diagnosis on the laptop and come up with a probable solution...

*cheers*

Finally, a word of caution:: to anyone reading this right now

It is very important to remove the battery of your laptop or whatever electronic gadget that uses a battery if you're not going to use them in a long while.

Feels good to be back... Your bios should have been updated the first time you got the almighty blue screen with that error.

1. Please make sure your hard drive is in good state.
2. Confirm you dont have any failing RAM.
4. Did the first blue screen error you got happened after installing an application or device driver?
3. There might be a need for you to reprogram your bios.
