GTB is even the worst ever. i filled a form for TBills and it was sent to my acount officer at isolo, someone i dont even know or seen before. it took a whole week my fund was just lying fallow despite several calls to them the lady by name ope and even her BO. the following week i had to transfer the whole funds to FBN. alezzy13: 2 Likes |

What's happening to Treasury bills lately? 11.18% for 364days? This is turning out to a joke |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by feelamong(m): 8:28am On Aug 01, 2019 |
hancock: Its not a joke. its the state of the affairs our economy now... The govt wants to drop interest rates to encourage GDP growth. its signaling that by dropping the rates at which they will borrow from investors. hopefully the commercial banks will take a cue from that and drop interest rates too so that we can borrow cheaply and do real business rather than dumping our funds with govt and collecting high interest rates on them 18 Likes 1 Share |

feelamong:its d other way round. many people re rushing to do tbills BC s economy is in comatose. Biz is not moving again. if not, many people will invest their money in businesses. d poverty rate in naija now is affecting sales and businesses, a sign the govt is really incompetent and lacks ideas 12 Likes |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by delawal: 1:30pm On Aug 01, 2019 |
hancock:d economy and s abdard of living in naija keeps shrinking. some will say d govt is working. watch ur environment and tell me how many more people became poor since 2015. they said its oil price, now d price is up, still more people re becoming poor. buhari will kill d economy in his remaining days 6 Likes |

9.75% 91 days in primary market. And I got 9.8% for 63 days in secondary market. I think primary and secondary is almost the same. No need to be waiting for primary auctions. 2 Likes |

delawal:This is what I think, someone quoted me earlier with some gibberish when I asked this question. the economy is supposed to get better when rates fall but in the case the economy is not getting better, foreign investments are recording a 67% decline from last year according to thread below, so people rather dump their money in tbills than invest. I think the rates will increase towards year end when people will start doing Christmas shopping https://www.nairaland.com/5334653/nigeria-records-15bn-investments-six 1 Like |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by delawal: 4:54pm On Aug 01, 2019 |
chigo4u:it may not increase BC d Xmas shopping is short lived and seasonal. now people suppose dn dey bring in goods for Xmas.so why still d high demand for savings(tbills). I must tell people as a bizman, sales really has declined. do u know DT many bizmen prefer to go save their huge money and just use small amount to do Biz. this is BC buyers rate has reduced. during d election I was more worried about buharis approach to economics than where he came from. some of us who were against his second term had already seen where his policies re driving Nigeria to. then we even hoped DT any other person DT is not buhari even if its a goat should win. at least DT goat might be a listening and ready to learn goat which should be better than buhari that is not ready to learn. d Yoruba's thought its a war of d tribes for superiority. its not its about the survival of d people in this country. just conduct research without bias and see how many people their life has grown from worse to worst under this govt. I tell u more people will be poorer as d years progresses under buhari. 8 Likes |
