Come on, this is very very untrue. She can apply apply with her kids as long as she possesses the requirements to be issued a visa. Her job as a federal employee is a good ties, plus she need to have a reasonable amount of money in her account that is twice or thrice bigger than the total cost of her trip, if she have any property that is also a good tie. Please don’t just come here and give people wrong advice.

Victor4visahelp:
you are a widow with 2kids, if the three of apply together it will show to the ECO you have no family ties in Nigeria. It’s best you apply alone first and use your kids as your family tie to Nigeria and later you can apply for your kids.

Hello house, please my mum wil be collecting her passport together with my brother's passport. What are the documents required to take along?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by EasyMoney007: 10:20pm On Jul 30, 2019
Monmarri:

1. What do you mean by " my tuition"? The total amount you will be spending on your trip include your accommodation+flight ticket return+ living expenses which mean, your feeding, drinks, transportation fare to visit tourist attractions and then shopping ( If you wish) Calculate the money you will spend in all these and give ECO the estimate. Meanwhile the estimate depends on the duration of your stay.

2. The one that is much easier for you to calculate. I will prefer using NGN.

3. The amount you spend every Month on your self as you receive salary notification. Feeding+ DStv or gotv monthly charge+transportation+dependant ( If you have)+fuel+shopping etc. Just calculate how much you spend every month and write the figure in d application.

Thanks for the light sir..
I do appreciate..
Said "tuition" because i am applying for a short term study visa, spending 3weeks
Thanks

Hello gurus in the house..... I intend traveling in the middle of August and return back ending. But the ticket fee is killing..... Pls can I suspend my traveling to sept.
Would there be any problem at the poe if I travel by sept?
Though I'm going for vacation.
If I want to change my travel date, what are the thing to take along to show them at the poe in order to be granted entry.. Your response is paramount

Ofcourse you can postpone your vacation till whenever , as long as you travel and return before your visa expires. You do not need to show anything to anyone at the point of entry. If asked why you postponed the date ( Which i doubt they would ) , you can say work overload. Work is more important than vacation right?

Please, I need help with this.

How does one with siblings who are citizens in the UK, apply to join them?

UK is not like USA where one can apply for immigrant visa for your family to join u. UK d'nt do that. I think it is only EU and their family members are allowed settlement in the UK. The only thing u can get from UK settlement visa are spouse visa, fiancé visa and ancestry visa. However if ones mum or dad are UK citizen and the child is in Nigeria, the dad or mum can apply for the child to join. Note: There is age limit, the child must not be more than 18 years. If more than, the dad can not bring the child to join. I hope this answers your question

Awesome, thanks for this. But note that Primark is cheap(including quality of their products. They last weeks or a few months). However, Zara and H&M are affordable with much better quality.

[q1uote author=Osemigho post=80690942]London visit had come and gone. Below are some lesson learnt.

1. Airbnb accommodation is a cheaper alternative to a hotel for people that are willing to cook. We, my girlfriend and I, spent about 100 pounds for six days feeding because we cooked daily.
2. For those willing to take a train from the Airport, insist on buying Oyster card at the airport. We could have saved about 24 pounds but a customer care rep. lied to us that we cannot get Oyster card at the airport. We bought train tickets there, only to see another stall selling Oyster card. We ended up buying that too for about 50 pounds each for a week trip around London.
3. Avoid the train if you have many pieces of luggage. Having to lift and move our pieces of baggage, luggage, etc was a nightmare. I tried to be a man, but even strangers had to help us sometimes. This was one of our worst but memorable experience upon entering London. We avoided it by taking a cab (about 50 pounds) to Heathrow airport during departure.
4. Primark seems to be a good place to shop. Compare to most of my experience in Canada, Primark offers low price products generally below 20 pounds. I think I bought some 3-pound shirt and female bags around 15 pounds.

I will continue to update as it goes.
Next time take the Piccadilly line, it is designed for the easy rout to Heathrow.

Hello sir.
Please a question; is it ok to indicate on the UK visa application that you have a relative in the UK(uncle) even though you would be staying in an hotel during your visit? Is it safe to answer; NO in that part or YES?

Please guys it's urgent.
Thanks as always

Are you referring to primark of today or yester year because they have improved the quality of their products. I personally went to primark and H&M for clothes for my toddler. I find primark’s of better quality, most of H&M’s T-shirt were flimsy. So I bought from primark and jejely ordered the rest from George.

Always be honest in y application. If you know you are in a very good relationship with y uncle, he is legal in the uk, he will give you permission to put his details in your application put YES, but if you have no much information on him ,no good relationship, unable to give you permission just put NO. It is better to put family you are very sure of in y application.

Thanks for coming through bro!
The uncle refused to give me his details, so I guess it's best I put a NO.

Thanks for your guide I do appreciate this.

You can have a relative or family in UK and decided to stay in an hotel, it’s ok. There’s section for family and section for where you gonna stay, so it’s up to you to decide and what it’s available to you.

Hello house, I bring good news. My mum and brother just got their visit visa valid for 6 months cheesy. My mum is retired and self-employed, this will be her 2nd time visiting the UK. While my brother has 2 years work experience in IT but no travel history and first time applying for any visa.
I put a budget of 3K for 2-weeks stay for both of them (fully sponsored by me).

Timeline (Standard): TLS Lagos VI
20th June: Submitted online application (document self-upload)
26th June: Biometrics
18th July: Call from UKVI (asked if I was inviting anyone and how long they are staying, if I am fully sponsoring and how much, my brother's job title and company he works for, my immigration status in the UK and my job title...I think that was all)
19th July: Received email stating 'Application Concluded'
23rd July: Passport ready for pickup
Picked up passports same day with both visas approved

These are the documents we submitted with their application:

Mine:
1. Invitation Letter for both of them (electronic copy with a scanned picture of my signature)
2. Copy of BRP and my passport data page
3. Tenancy agreement (scanned copy with signatures)
4. 6-months payslip (e-copy)
5. 6-months bank statement salary account (downloaded from my online account with no bank stamp)

Mum:
1. Cover letter - highlighted my mum's sources of income, she collects pension and is also self-employed. I also highlighted how much she has currently in her savings)
2. Copy of previous UK visa
3. Company CAC certificate
4. Pension Letter
5. C of O of residential house
6. Land C of O
7. 6-months bank statement (the one that her pension and income from her business comes into)
8. Excel table explaining deposits into her account, with 4 columns - Date, Amount, Sender and Purpose of transfer (we highlighted any inflow greater than 50K)

Brother:
1. Cover letter - highlighted his job, how much he earns and how much he currently has in his savings)
2. HR Letter of introduction
3. Work Offer Letter
4. Work ID card
5. 6-months payslips
6. 6-months bank statement (both salary and savings accounts)
7. Excel table explaining deposits into his account, with 4 columns - Date, Amount, Sender and Purpose of transfer(we highlighted any inflow greater than 50K)
*I was a bit worried about the fact that we didn't include tenancy agreement for my brother because he shares a flat with his colleague and his name is not on the agreement but thank God that it didn't seem to matter. We didn't include tax cards either.

Thanks to everyone who contributes here, especially to giselle237 & MadameW for taking the time to answer my questions. God bless you all!
Congrats bro

Hello all, this is to everyone who received the ''application concluded" email for more than two weeks now and still haven't heard from TLS. Please, call UKVI(don't send email). I just did and the lady I spoke to was really surprised that I received "application concluded" email since July 10th and still no "pick up" email from TLS yet. She promised she would act on it immediately!

Call them so they know that I am not the only one. This I believe will really work in our favour.
