Bitter about what?

How did you read bitter in the text? I wonder how folks read messages these days. Counter argument is now bitterness?

Please speak for and about yourself. I don't need your negative projection.
lol ur comments are full bitterness and pure hate over nothing....... like why hate for nothing.....we all know it is job but come on D's man tried.......it just common sense.

Save yourself the hate and anger. Those who sold you guys that rhetoric were paid for the job before and during elections. Even they have lost and since moved on. If to say i follow Buhari and Nairaland hatred...hmmm na stagnation straight!
Again counsel yourself.

I have no time for hate and anger. I'm just stating truth as I know them. If my words anger or ails you, I have no control over it. And I have no idea 'those' you're referring to. Maybe you should read my post slowing, with no fixation to my monika.

The question is..... since they can sandfill the construction site for heavy trucks to move materials, why can't they just sandfill that very place and build the road on it without building the bridge?

Won't it save more than building the bridge? undecided
You suppose chop slat. Because they block one side and leave the other open for easy flow of the river to enable them complete a side. So the should block everything abi

[quote author=Mynd44 post=80830665]They can't as it will lead to flooding of the communities along the banks. You can block the path of water

And if you notice, they aren't blocking the entire path of the river, just a section. When they want to build the other part, they will open the one they blocked. [/quot] you must be an environmentalist...good one there...you actually nailed it

They have been some gains. The indices are looking up, things can and should get better though. You will have to agree that the spate of job losses has reduced.

If you don't understand the workings around financing a project of that scale. This financing of the project actually started late in 2012 and concluded in early 2013.actual construction of the project began in earnest in 2014 after FG initially paid up their counterpart funding, that was why Gej went ahead to inaugurate the construction of the bridge. Like I imploring you, please use the services of Google. Google warehouse a database of those information

And for your info, I'm not a hater. I'm not driven by emotions and sentiment as seen on nairaland but by reason

Engineer, don't die of hatred. There is a space for vessels close to the first Niger bridge already which is not far from the second Niger bridge. Ships and vessels are making use of that and as a result they have no business getting to the second Niger bridge.
I am not hating , I am saying from technical view , how about if d vessel will come from d side of this new bridge , how will it get through to d old bridge ,mind u that Anambra government uses d water way to transport their crude oil products since their is no pipeline link and also they have plans of opening a mini harbor or wharf but I have just realized that Buhari s government intentionally chocked d under so that no meaningful vessel except small boats can get to the east but God is watching them

And they still hate Buhari. What your brother Goatluck could not do for 5.5 wated years, what your party PDP could not do for 16 miserable years, your enemy, the Fulani herdsman called Buhari is doing it. May God not make us beg our enemy for food. The money in imPatience Jonathan accounts can build this bridge.
is mumuharia using the fund from the sales of groundnuts to fund the bridge?

Why didnt your Goodluck finish it..... Even when the government is doing something good you still force a bad out of it...

as an engineer d company building it is using local technology, with modern technology bridges are built with fewer but more strong pillars with bigger gaps in between to allow bigger vessels to pass through, strong steel alloys are use for the top since d gaps are more d strength of d materials will be great so that it doesn't cave in but in this case they are using Chinese local technology ,supporting it with a lot of small useless pillars, choking up spaces, vessels d size of trailer or container body can't pass under this bridge , bad technology
This will prevent the possibility of shipping via the Niger to the east. No matter the dredging, this bridge will prevent bigger ships from getting to the east through the Niger.

There hasn't been any cancellation. PMB is just following up the process as planned by his predecessor. FG during GEJ's tenure had a already paid up their counterpart funding. The project is under the active management of the NSIA
I understand PPP plan for the bridge has been cancelled and the contract renegotiated. The FG now funds it fully; Fashola even made mention of this in his ministerial screening when taking questions just this Monday.

Fantastic effort. Good one from the government. Is there provision for the addition of a rail line in tandem to save time and costs in future.
