So true

mesh2003:

Not just Nigerian illegals in the US but also Nigerian families flying to New York and crossing over to Canada. One of the reports I read then, specifically mentioned that about 70% of the people had newly issued visas which was one of the reasons the Canadian Immigration Minister had to visit in May of 2018

How much did The birthing itself cost you? I mean Doctor, hospital, paed, and all the related costs put together, excluding tickets, accommodation, documentation, etc.... That should be the figure that you declare when asked

PLS ANY1 WITH EXPERIENCE CAN HELP ON THIS. ITS QUITE URGENT PLS hubby is only spending 2weeks, while my mum, I and the kids will return back after 2months
Saskbound:
It’s still B1/2 Category then a drop down to specify that’s where you select B2 for medical visa

Huh...you sound very desperate though...bad idea. undecided

Is it a must you give birth in the US?

Also, it looks like you're taking the whole family with you to go to the US...what strong ties do you have left in Nigeria?

Simple. Nigerians abused US and Canadian visas and you’re simply paying the price.

Hi House!

Please, I need advice, my wife is going for her B2 interview soon. I am stated as her sponsor. Majority of the money proposed for the cost of birthing is in my company's account. Will it be right to transfer the money as bulk transfer to my wife's account? will the VO frown at bulk transfer? I was thinking of transferring the total amount budgeted from my company's account to her account, then write on the sponsor's letter that I am sponsoring and I have transferred the estimated cost to her. Will this fly?

OR

Can my wife go for the interview with my company's bank account statement?

Try having your baby elsewhere.
1) you used the wrong visa to birth in 2015 which have earned alot of pple denials

2)your bill is less than 10k while some have escaped this combining it with reason 1 made d case worse.

3)whats the time interval to your next application and what has changed about your application...did u pay back discounts etc

4) why should d whole family travel cos you are having a baby? You need a robust travel history to pull this off,how many times did u use ur last us visa

5)travel with d us citizen alone or travel with ur mum alone or travel with ur husband and leave the kids with mum,or best still travel alone and spare ur kids having to explain why dey were refused a uss visa when dey r off to uni .....abroad

6)be careful with canAda cos if you apply you must get it o,
apply with ur mum or hubby alone
Have good bank statement,be honest about usa denial add you hospital receipts to ur canada app if applying for medical or else even shengen will flag ur passport red tomorrow

Be positive its possible

I think it is more like share biometrics information not Visa information. Your passport number. Date of birth and finger prints once matched, will reveal all other information.

TWoods:

Yes, Canada and the US share visa information. When trump came to office promising to tighten up immigration rules, there was a surge of Nigerian illegals from the US crossing the northern border to seek asylum in Canada. It was to the point where Canada specifically requested the US to tighten its visa eligibility requirements for Nigerians to stop the flow. It’s likely the US now views anyone who is rejected a Canadian visa (or withdraws it for suspicious reasons) to be automatically ineligible to enter the US. We should simply blame our selfish and lawless brethren. Those who caused this are safely enjoying themselves in Canada while the rest of you suffer the indignity of cancelled visas.

Hi Guys! Great thread here. I have read through and found answers to most of the questions I had except a couple.

I am planning for my wife to birth a child in El-paso around April next year.

1 . Is there anyone who has had a baby in El-paso recently (preferably 2019, at Dr Esperati or a better place, but not too costly) that would be willing to share what their ENTIRE cost looked like including flights, visa's, hospital fees (esp. hidden charges) etc.? I mean all the cost!.

2. Dr Esperati's total fees (incl. hosp costs) as on website is around $5,500. I have read some threads here of people being denied visa when their cost is less than $10k or so. Could this catch me later? I really don't understand this aspect.

3. Is there anyone looking to birth a child in el-paso around April next year? Maybe we can sync and share some costs. Thanks.

This is an arbitrary excuse that VO are using to deny Visa's, there are people that have paid upwards of $20k in other states and are still denied. If you wish to be billed more you can ask to pay whatever you wish in El Paso, both the hospital and doctor will accommodate.

She can take her entire village if she wants to, the decision is on the VO to approve her application or not, some of you are so nasty in this forum you’d think you get paid for being NASTY!

No she really can't, even if she tried.

This likely amounts to fraud. Hospitals don't bend what you pay just to hoodwink the US consulate.

Beautyaddy actually lives in the US i think, she would not need to be able to "afford" to give birth in the US - insurance takes care of that, even for the poorest person living on the street.

Why don't you use your "money" to improve your country so you don't have to beg for a visa?

B1 for your daughter? On what ground please? Agreed that visas are issued us mostly as B1/B2, I’m however quite surprised when I see the way we mix up the B1 and the B2 visa categories when it’s time to attempt differentiating them whether as visa application experience or as POE experience. When we hear apply for a “medical visa”, why do we almost fall into thinking it’s another visa category altogether from a visit visa? It’s a/the B2 visa just like the one for visiting, pleasure visits, tourist visits, holidaying/vacationing, etc. All we are saying summarily is that let it be on record, make it plain from the very beginning both to the embassy/VO and the POE that you want to birth in the US, and then go through the required processes and motions therein to forestall future “wahala”. I pray though, that you are able to sort the matters on ground someday, and maybe soon. All the best!

Meanwhile, as for going the Canada route, you barely have enough time to pull that through if I got you right at some point, those ones are currently taking like forever to process applications....
