koboko69:these are just the birth signs. it seems you are military hence your signature. the revolution is just a matter of time. Nigeria has failed. imagine we can't put down boko haram up to like 13 years now. infact the Nigeria state will be happy to if boko will accept amnesty but boko knew they are stronger and feared so why settle for less. since abacha left we have never won or put down any confrontation. sowore is arrested because he made it known. but the fire that will refine this dirty gold called Nigeria will be lit by the most dangerous army ever seen. the poor Nigerians. it will be free for all. since the government wants to kill the middle class. the middle class will join the poor class and the result will be catastrophic . any attempt to cut down the expectations of ambitious people will have consequences remember where lofty heights attain. |

gidgiddy: Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer of any such government; orStop shouting democracy all over the place because many of you don't know democracy and what it stands for. Revolution and forcibly overthrowing a democratically elected government is not democracy, it's sedition and civilian coup This is what they say about revolution and the punishment for revolution in America, the land of democracy. Don't let ignorance and devious people lead you to prison while hiding under democracy, it's not democracy, revolution is a criminal offense with serious repercussions. |

Funny enough before the arrest, people were shouting revolution all over the place, but after the arrest, they switched and change their chants to peaceful protest. Who are you deceiving? |

koboko69:Oga you still don't understand despite repeated inatances. Shows you are not seeking to learn but are set in a position, obviously pro government but one thing you and the government of the day must understand about the democracy it pretends it practice is: One, power ultimately lies with the people so a revolution is not against one person or group of persons. It is a recalibration of the system the people themselves put in place. Those in government are merely temporary custodians of the power to organise society in favovour of the ideals ofthe people, no more. If the people wish to change those ideals so be it. We must in that light discard all feudal thoughts about the people we put there. The authority they wield is given by the people. What a proper government should do to prevent things degenerating to this level of incivility is to practice the tenets of democracy which starts with pluralism, the ability to permit alternate power bases and tap into their vibes to stabilise the polity and cou try in ge eral. That means allowing free expression, allowing diverse expression and allowing rigorous debates while being keen to respond to the desires and wishes of the generality of people. It is natural for hot air to rise and cool air replaces and mixes in causing wind. It is natural for heated ocean water to mix with cooler ocean water to trigger precipitation. It is natural for fresh precipitates to mix with salty ocean water to stimulate ocean current and keep the earth's electrical battery constantly charged. It is natural for the people and government to mix their views to move democracy forward but when government decides to block all avenues and stymie all the vents of democracy an earthquake of volcanic proportions is inevitable. This without doubt has been the most intolerant democratically elected government since independence. It has gone through great lengths to shutdown the other two arms of government, destabilise opposing political parties and truncate all institutions of adjudication. For how long you expect this to continue without a response remains a mystery to me but any half intelligent citizen would know that trouble is brewing. Add to this fact that it is not remotely a performing government to assuage any section of its citizens... |

ifyboy60:If you have any family in the USA. I dare you to tweet that they are going to bomb the White House. Let's see if the FBI wont Knock on their doors before sunset. Freedom of speech does not cover threat against a whole government. Calling for revolution is not covered by freedom of speech. Revolution is war! |

koboko69:like CIA or FBI picked up the communist party of America abi? whose ideology is to cause a revolution that will transform the US to a communist state. like they picked up the NAACP abi like they picked up white supremacists groups who aim to change racial laws abi like they picked up Lois Farrakhan and his nation of Islam who aim to implement sharia abi like they picked up all lobbying groups who try to shape America to their own desires abi U are not talking to an online dunce, like I said quit NTA. |

Reference:You are of course allowed to express yourself and debate any issue you so desire, but expressing yourself and debating issues are different from staging, promoting and inciting revolution to overthrow a democratically elected government. Criminal acts and peaceful protest are 2 different things. If democracy is really what you are all about, then go to the polls with your votes to effect change in leadership instead of revolution to overthrow an elected government that the Nigerian majority put in office. You can not subvert the choice of the majority with your own selfish wishes and what you failed to achieve at the polls because of lack of popular support. Democracy is one way and you can not subvert democracy because you failed at the polls. |

tomdon:Incitement is a crime only if a crime was carried out. In this case however, Sowore did not incite anyone to commit any crime. He only asked people to come out in protest which he has a right to do. The only problem some ignorant people have is that he called his protest a 'revolution' |

stdammis:The oxford dictionary defines revolution as~ 1)The forcible overthrow of a government 2)The change of a social order in favour of a new system 3) An instance of revolving Buhari supporters chose the first definition of revolution as the only definition when everyone knows that Sowore called for a protest for the second definition |

koboko69:This is another definition you omitted "a dramatic and wide-reaching change in the way something works or is organized or in people's ideas about it" |
| Re: Will Any Government In The World Sit And Watch A "Revolution" Protest? by stdammis(m): 3:44pm On Aug 04, 2019 |
gidgiddy:Do you think that second definition would happen without the first one? Which government would want you to change them without a fight. I understand that sowore meant protest. But calling it revolution is the wrong move. Any government would wanna cap any revolution movement before it grows into something they cant control. |
