This would have been more believable if Ed had any history at all of sensible transfer deals. All he has on his CV is a litany of transfer mishaps.
The more logical explanation is that the man(with his minions) is clueless when it comes to transfers.

Lmaoooo, anyway, club has spent almost a billion pounds in incoming transfers since 2013.

With players like Di Maria (who was MOTM in the previous UCL final which he won), Falcao, Sanchez (who was a beast at Arsenal), Depay (who was touted as the next Ronaldo of some sorts), Mkhitaryan (beast at Dortmund), Matic (who began very well but started beansing up as time went by) etc.

Honestly, to be very logical, it's not all on Ed. These players i mentioned had good records before coming here, guess this is the reason club had to go back to Young British Talent

How long does it take Madrid to sign players?
Even those that drag end up getting their targets ala Barcelona but we can't keeps ours under wraps and even when it's out there, we don't seem to close out deals. It's embarrassing to say the least.

My point exactly. So peeps shouldn't really question why it takes a long time to get a simple deal done.

Ed's competence in deals being slow is what we need to scrutinize. I thought he was an expert in things like that.

I don’t know why we don’t do negotiations when the season is still on. That’s how Madrid got Jovic. It’s like our scouting system goes limp once the season resumes.
