A 96-year-old Ghanaian man James K. Andorful and his 93-year-old lover Margaret Manuel on Saturday August 3, exchanged marital vows before their friends, family and loved ones.

The couple have been cohabiting for the past 50 years and their relationship produced 9 children. They exchanged their marital vows in a ceremony officiated by the Dansoman District Pastor of the Church of Pentecost Rev. James Oko Barnor.

Preaching at the event, Rev Oko Barnor stated that the couple lasted this long because they understood each other.


“If two couples can live under one roof for 50 years in a relationship, it means they understood each other" he said.

African Pastors have a way of presenting our traditional marriage as unofficial and so on..
Everybody must not marry in church however such union must be respected
Probably their children are trudging in life hence the insistence on their parents to be joined in church.

this is what they call true love, not the ones that tie a partner down with marraige claiming they love eachother, when you can survive a rel with the opposite sex without the bondage of marraige and you guys florish and prosper then its something special than love, many women are different shades in relationships and then marraige.
