But on a more serious note, I doubt if a married man (or even a single guy) on rental will be able to save enough money from this job to buy his own car.

I'm married with only one child for now and I don dey drive my own car, 5 days in a week for over one year now, so... I'm talking from experience.

There are good drivers paying rent for over 2 years on the same car...I mean dey probably might have owned the car if dey were on hp....but dey will shout hp!!!! bros no put your head o...If you ask why...dey will say repair and all..but I have been driving my Corolla bought toks...last year June...and I have never spent a kobo on repair....aside from the routine maintenance...so with a good car...and a fair contract...but most have never been on hp..but are scared because someone else had a bad experience...I agree that I dont drive much on the platform but with a strict adequate routine maintenance u would spend less on repair if any...

I will just do HP straight. I won't have time to manage it, just focus on my driving. Buy it 600 and give it out for 1.2

That was before, these days drivers that know go for HP. The problem is HP is scarce, owners are always not interested in HP.
One of the questions drivers ask each other when they meet is are u on HP? So they are beginning to see the advantage, some have been on the platform for more than a year assuming they were on HP maybe they would have been car owners by now. Besides when they see their friends and other drivers doing it and becoming car owners they also feel they can do it.

All this riders sha, always ask questions before going to pick up. Imagine a rider requesting Uber to carry 24 sets of plastic chairs. I know some ppl will accept it.

Yea. But less dan 50meters.
Picked her up at iba estate going to festac. Front of her her house was so sandy and car got stuck. It needed just 2 people to push and one person to do little aggressive acceleration. We Saw one aboki approaching, i looked at her and she smiled nodding her head in understanding.
We pushed, she pulled it out....

Please am i doing the right thing? My empathy or my high affinity of always been empathic is clouding my judgment i guess. Am struggling gaving these feeling that am not doing the right or there is something wrong with my approach.

Now here is the story
A rider ordered me on taxify only for my to get there and she said there is a little challenge that she will transfer the cash to me first thing on monday morning- i was just surprised and shocked, have driven to ehere she is, my fuel. I just said ok i will take the risk.

Only for us to get to destination and she said i should pleqse wait that i will take her back. Am still waiting for close to an hour now. I just hope these doesnt end up hurting me..

Another story thes lady ordered on taxify only for me to get there and say loads, one bag of rice, some few take away plastics plate, some crate of pepsi etc...as if that was the only load she now said there is another men i was angry- its a short trip 500 naira trip...i was just vexing what kind of riders are these on taxify..i told her normal she is suppose to pay seperate or extra for the load, that is my disgretion we are not suppose to carry much load. She now started as usual the empathic me allowwd it slide, thou at the end she added 400 naira to make the trip 1k. The husband now added 500 naira.. But i know i cant continue like these but am struggling and a little bit confussed if so far have done the right thing..

Please i need advice, positive critic and a spank if need be

Someone is saying he can't be productive if he is given an 04 corolla

But he will make more money if he is given an 07 corolla.

Unless you carry a rider who owns a corolla or who is into auto sales, it's difficult to spot the difference from outside

Theres nothing we won't read here sha grin

Maybe the ac for 07 blows differently from that of the others.

The bolded is just the fact and that is what I tell investors thinking about Uber, but they think I don't want them to also gain from it ( chop alone).

But he is also venturing into a business where you have the highest trust issues. Like with uber you make the money when you drive your own car and not vice versa. So the question I ask is who will drive his keke napep and successfully deliver 25k weekly? Car owners don't make money...what about keke owners

If you don't know about business you ask, plenty of Keke drivers are looking for Keke to drive and willing to deliver 25k weekly.

Trust issue is everywhere, even in Uber.

Is it not same way plenty of Uber drivers are looking for car to drive and willing to deliver 25k weekly?

Baba I'll advice you buy keke and ride it yourself since Uber car investors aren't making money except the drivers.

Good evening brethren.

We requested a ride on Uber this morning but the driver's profile did not have his car license plate details. We cancelled immediately.

Although we tried to contact Uber, there wasn't an option to click to report such an incident.

This evening, we have been able to get the 400 naira cancellation fee reversed.

I don't understand how a driver can operate on Uber without license plate details on his profile. Especially when riders can report when the plate number of the car that arrives is different from the one on the driver's profile.

Can anyone explain what happened this morning? I think it is an issue of rider security.
