Good morning, please my laptop refused to booth this morning and I did everything I could do to make it booth it refused. I am with a repair guy now and he said the hard drive is not responding. He removed it from my system and tested it in another system to see if my information in the hard disk can be back up somewhere else but the hard disk is not responding completely. Please any advice or suggestions on what can be done to retrieve the information in the hard disk will be highly appreciated. I have very vital information saved in it.

Get external hard drive connector and connect the hdd to a system, you should be able to get your files as long as it is not completely damage, it just can't take windows.

Dell charger for hp laptop
Is that what you use? Always check the back of your laptop for voltage requirement.

Hi.

First of all, it's not a crime grin...you won't get reported or arrested.

Second, abrupt power interruptions can have drastic effects on the system charging unit and hard drive.

Please, do get another battery tomorrow.

Otherwise, I sell hard drives at a very cheap rate and fix(fixable) board issues for a token...just a reminder wink

*cheers*

Hello.

Your laptop could be held down by spirits from the underworld grin

Ooops!! Sorry about that----Too much hollywood.
--------------------------------------------------

So, drivers drivers drivers... you need to update the drivers of your system... Particularly;

1. The Display driver: So, uninstall the one you currently have and install a more updated version. This fix is usually effective.
**
2. The mouse and keyboard drivers
3. The wireless drivers.

ok, let me explain.

Most of the time, these devices play a role in waking your PC.

For instance, if your PC goes to sleep, and you flip the screen open, by tapping the a key, you should be able to wake the screen. Or, by sensing a Wi-Fi network, the screen should awaken. Same with the track-Pad.

so, go to device manager, and right click the drivers under each of these devices. in the window that opens, you are to click on the "power management" tab >>> You will see 2 check boxes, tick the one that says "allow this device to wake the computer"

Try sleeping and waking your PC.

If your drivers do not carry a "power management tab", do note that you will need to update the drivers.

*Cheers*

You must have heard that if the motherboard of your laptop is faulty then forget it and opt for buying a new laptop.
Or that it would be sent to somewhere for repair, as we know, most people use Lagos.
And you have to wait for at least a month, most times longer before you get your device back. The most annoying part is that sometimes it comes back not being fixed.

You don’t have to worry about not knowing who your laptop is with anymore. You don’t have to wait for eternity to get your laptop back from a repair store. You just don’t have anything to worry about. LAPTOPSTORE.NG is here for you.

LAPTOPSTORE.NG is that certified company that specializes on mother board repairs. We are Specialist in Motherboards of any laptop model and brand.

Hello.
If the screen does not flicker while it's being moved, then it's a screen issue. You will need to replace the screen.

Hi.
I'll say since you're still under warranty (1 year), you could take your PC to where you bought for support.

Having said that, this could be an easy fix and you may not bother about the above...but avoid unscrewing the laptop lest you void your warranty.

SOO, let's get to it...shall we? wink

This happens when drivers fail to correctly access device memory because

1. Drivers or operating systems are outdated : in this case you'll need to update the drivers of your system. hook your system up to the internet and receive the latest updates.

You may also update the drivers of just the Wireless device. To achieve this, go to the device manager then locate network adapters and click the small arrow ">" button next to it to reveal the list of devices. Locate the wireless device then right click and select update driver .

Once done restart your device and connect again.

In the meantime do access the internet via LAN or Android phone using USB tethering.

2. Certain hardware isn't functioning optimally: In this case a network related device (your Wi-Fi adapter).

well, this is highly unlikely seeing that you just purchased a brand new device!...but electronics can be funny any day.

3. System files are corrupt: undecided I don't even want to go too deep on this one... together with the registry, if no back up is available, you will need to re-install windows.

Before considering the fix in 1,2 and 3 above, Try this::

== Disable cache (pronounced "cash"wink ) memory::
Here, you will need to access the BIOS of the system by pressing F10 Key on start up (just after pressing the power button). In the bios go to advanced options and locate memory cache then disable it.
Save changes and restart.

If the fix described above doesn't solve the problem, then reconsider my opening statement.

*Cheers*
