It is okay to migrate but even in the bible, the highest ranking or most successful Jew ever outside of Israel who happened to be Joseph asked that his remains not be left in Egypt where he prospered and became prime minister.God makes no mistakes and he sure knows for what purpose he made us Nigerians. If Naija is so bad, wetin Togo people suppose talk, yet the best washmen in naija are Togolese.Should I talk about masons carpenters and decorative Pop works? While lazy nigerian youth queue up at embassies looking for visas the Togolese queue up at bus parks in Lome heading to Ibeju Lekki to build future homes for shelter starved Nigerians. How about the Indians and Chinese who flock into naija daily.
Ask anyone conversant with Ilupeju and enquire about who the best tenants are always willing to pay above average rent so they can be close to their factories in Matori,Ilupeju and Oshodi.Do people ever wonder what these people are doing here, while we keep complaining about Naija?

Occupational and geographical mobility of labour is a basic human propensity and it cuts across ethnic, regional, racial, national and Continental lines.

While you are thankful to God for relocating to Canada, the Chinese and Indians are falling over themselves to set their foot in Nigeria to take over commerce, manufacturing, service delivery.

It depends on the prism you are looking at it from. If you are investment minded, you'll see order in chaos and can even make money from the the shi.t in the place you guys call "shithole". There is fortune in every misfortune.

It's a matter of perspective bro!

Turned out I am still wired to the vibes of naija social gatherings, afrobeats and local food. Doesn't mean standard of living is then lesser in developed countries. Its just a social fit mismatch.

You are not crazy, you are doing fine for yourself. If you are gainfully employed or you make money through business you will enjoy Nigeria.

I just look at people that condemn those traveling out. They should understand that not everyone will venture into business, we can't all be entrepreneurs. Some will prefer 8-4 jobs. Even majority of the SME in the country are not doing well.

Example after my graduation from the university I couldn't get a job so I started a business, in the process I lost close to all of my capitals and also had to pay back some debt, though am not discouraged but the only positive option I see now is to travel to Australia or Canada then I can think of coming back to invest after I have made money.

Note - in the period I come back to invest in Nigeria my children will never come here to live with me never will that happen.
And moreover the only business that has 98% success rate in Nigeria is CHURCH business, you have easy access to bank loan, you can confirm this from the RCCG franchise.

I really don't see Nigeria getting better anytime soon and I have to do what it takes to live a comfortable life with my family.

Well said bro.

I want to also let those condemning others that are traveling out know that it is not because of making wealth and amassing riches that is making people to seek residency abroad. Majority are simply going to a country where everything works for the citizens and residents.

There are others who are traveling out just to secure the future of their children. Of course, such persons children won't pass through what their parents passed through ever.

So, most patriots should know this before condemning those who decide to travel out. At least you won't compare a child that is raised up abroad to the one raised here back home cuz over there, the government make available everything that will make every average child successful. As for me that's the reason that will make me travel out. I want a better future for my children which I will hardly get here if I stay in Nigeria. I want my kids to possess dual citizenship. And when they grow up ,they can decide wherever they choose to live but by that time, I as a father have already secured their futures for them by raising them up in a sane environment which abroad offers.

Lies my dear...such thing doesnt happen over there....And most of you still think that jobs full everywhere for canada hmm y'all need to come here and see things for yourselves...Citizens here go for job interviews everyday but they dont get at the end

Bro everyone destiny differs. And it also depends on your course of study that will guarantee your quick getting of work. Before you travel out you must plan. It is only those without a specific plan in mind that always say things are hard abroad while others are saying they are doing well over there. From this I was able to deduct that the root cause of those crying foul of things being hard for them over there where everything works are those who did not plan well before travelling.

Both

I met Africans there who are engineers and doing odd jobs to get by

This dude from Ghana been doing odd jobs for 5 years, he is miserable

There was a -25 degree Celsius day. I experienced hell !

Had to shovel snow from the driveway like 6 times

F.uck that

The shopping is cool tho

This is the kind of mindset I don't support. For the fact that someone is doing odd jobs doesn't make him miserable. He may be doing that to pay the bill and careter for himself for the mean time till he finds a professional job in his area of specialty. Like you said, he is an engineer that means he studied an engineering course.

Those odd jobs are pretty paying his bill and may be living comfortably. There was a guy here that said he is doing a security job and he is living comfortably making $4000 monthly. And he is planning of doing his masters soon which they already told him that once he is done with his masters they will recommend him for an offer straight up.

So bro, I know it's the cold that chased you outta Canada nothing else.

U have a point...
While it's much easier to to attain a successful middle class life abroad....
The only place built for a Nigerian to become a billionaire is nigeria.....
Funny enough, Nigerians in diaspora understands this more than those at home....
Of course they face institutionalised discrimination regularly n they well know the eventual outcome....
Even 2nd n 3rd generation Nigerians here complain of invisible glass ceiling.....
That's why we all must come together to build Nigeria.....
Restoring the dignity of that country is a task that must be done.....
And it starts from restructuring.....

Not everyone wants to be a billionaire. Start with simple comfortable lifestyle first. Good roads, clean water, steady electricity, security and steady salary.

Besides, how many billionaires do we have in Nigeria? Are they not all affiliated with politicians stealing your money?

Change your mindset for good brother.

what responsibility should we take? How on earth should we fix the continent when we have wicked leaders who do not care about the welfare of the people they lead. The people you mentioned above traveled abroad to get fully equipped and they thrived when the government was better.

Jim ovia got his BSc in Biz Admin from southern University Louisiana and masters from university of Louisiana in Monroe. He also graduated from Harvard business school. He traveled abroad to gain all these. He didn't school in a Nigerian University where you have outrageous school fees with shitty education.....that breeds half baked graduates. Universities where lecturers victimize and assault students.

Ovia started Zenith when I was 10 years old, when the economy was striving well. The economy favored him and he leveraged on it. Do you know the number of companies that closed down in this regime? Do you know the number of graduates we churn out every year without hopes for jobs or even soft loans to start business. Do you know getting a visa to further your education was so easy then than now.

DO YOU KNOW THE EXTENT THESE YOUR SO CALLED POLITHIEFTIANS HAVE BASTERDIZED THE COUNTRY, AND TURN IT INTO SHAMBLES?

The worse is that the youth cannot even stand up against them cos it seems like we run a dictatorship government now. #Talk and you die!

Say what you know and are sure of, pls. I won't reply again if you refuse to be factual
