You are all right because as I said previously I personally know three people who got their refusal reasons overturned through Judicial review. If you are lucky home office will reconsider their decision after the lawyers send the pre-action protocol which is mandatory before the actual Judicial review process.

With the pre-action protocol, home office sometimes decline to even respond so after a number of days the main processes is initiated in court. I think people should read and research more because this is one way to challenge a non-immigrant refusal if appeal is not given. Especially for those who have been refused a number of time but feel they have provided all the correct documents, judicial review is the way to go. I will share details soon about one that is currently going on

Justblow:

@Ope...you ve spoken well, Infact, you know what you talking about, appeal and admin review stopped 2013 by the home office and as we speak now you can still appeal or call for admin review on some sets of visit visa based Mainly on human right ground.

And more over, is there a ground or situation in life that affects you or your rights that you can't address using the court of law?... I don't think so.

I know someone that was denied 4 times, he hired a lawyer to put in for him for the 5th time and the home office refused him, base on no solid tie to his country, do you know, the law firm had to seek redress in court... The home office did not only over turn their decision, but also pay the law firm.

This things happens every day, as we speak, there are thousands of judicial review going on, why is someone now making normalcy look as if it is a taboo...

Opeyemi.... You've spoken well...

You know nothing about what you are talking about, the process you copied and pasted here is not for vising visa refusal.

You can't appeal visiting visa refusal let alone go for judicial review then hoping for HomeOffice to pay you money we wasted with your lawyer.

Lol, judicial review isn't stuck to one class of visa. For the umpteenth time, it doesn't matter if your suit is the against the British PM or your MP. If YOU'RE CONTESTING A DECISION MADE BY A PUBLIC BODY FOR PROCEDURAL FAIRNESS, THE LOSER PAYS THE WINNER. Be it the home office or you. I didn't copy my last comment btw. This is a first hand knowledge. I give up.

So far it's a registered and approved microfinance bank in Nigeria there shouldn't be a problem.

I gat you bro. You booked the accommodation to reduce your estimated travel cost, then you probably cancelled it after you got the visa. Wise move...

You still don't get it.
It is for visa application purpose, if u understand my logic for the ECO, u ll thank me very well for sharing this idea.

Not true . So far it's a registered and approved microfinance bank in Nigeria and provide core banking service, it shouldn't be a problem and beside that is where her salary is bin paid. So what statement of account do you want her to use to proof her salary entries??

Not smart move because you are likely to be sent back when immigration at POE found out what you did.

It's the dumbest move ever because it's a common knowledge that immigration usually call the hotel to confirm your booking.

Exactly. In some cases where you claim to have a host in the UK, that host is called how much more a hotel you claimed to have booked ...people shaa

@embolden ...its only under such grounds you can get a judicial review not when you want to fly to the UK to go see Big Eye or London bridge or other tourist sites.

General Visit/Tourist Visa applications is usually regarded as the fastest means to get to the UK under any circumstances but the terms of the visa and your personal condition is what matters. For example, escaping persecution, work-related stress or other life-threatening adversity in your home country, the first step for you is to seek the fastest visa to escape it rather than a specialized visa.

If you're refused the general visa under the personal conditions stated, then you can get a judicial review to work in your favor if you can prove that the refusal is likely to cause you more harm than good and the UK are morally in the position to help prevent that..fine.

Good morning great people. Pls I need urgent help
I did my biometrics (myself and wife) on 29th July for priority for a tier 2 Visa application. I am the main applicant whilst my wife applied as a dependant.
I received an email a day later that my application has been received and currently being considered. 3 days later - 2 Aug I got an email requesting for evidence of English language which I sent to a designated email address. However, ever since am yet to hear from them and I am worried considering the timelines for a priority application.

I have tried calling their line but each time I key in the numbers on my debit card, it says the card wasnt recognised. I have tried this with First bank and Diamomd bank so far. My questions are:

1) is it normal for an application to take this long considering it is priority? NB: no travel history or criminal records.
2) what alternative ways can I reach them? Are there specific cards accepted?
3) Are they supposed to send an email if they are experiencing difficulties with my application?

Your responses are highly appreciated.

I heard about a new UK special visa application that is currently going on now that with a huge visa fee around 1million naira. I don't really know much about it. I heard the visa program was rolled out for especially for those who can afford to pay the high visa fee and will get the visa automatic.
Please can someone through more light on this i heard it 2 days ago.

You still don't get. Its a very smart move, when you cancel that cheap booking after the application is out, it doesn't mean you will not book another hotel of your choice at any cost when travelling. I know quite alright that at the POE they always confirm your hotel booking which can lead to deportation if its canceled or fake.
Let me put it this way, at the time of making an application, u ll see BA flight for £1400, Royal airmaroc £600. Expensive hotel for £700, cheap hostel for £140.
BA flight and expensive hotel= £2,100
Royal airmaroc and cheap hostel= £740
If you decide to go with BA flight + expensive hotel + living expenses = more than £2,500 when making your application even if you can afford it, this is on the higher side which the ECO can use that against you by saying the total cost of your trip is 5 times over your monthly disposable income. But when you go with Royal airmaroc + hostel + living expenses = less dan £1,500.
Getting your application approved with proof of cheaper flight and hostel does not mean that you must travel with that same cheaper flight and stay at that cheap hostel. You can book your BA flight and expensive hotel to make your trip if you know you can afford it.

What baffles me about UKVI is why do they delay people's passport even weeks after they have made a decision? It makes no sense at all. My cousin and his child are in the same wait game too. Since July 3rd they did their biometrics. Its insane really. U ll have to wait dear until VAC signals to u.

U are perfectly correct! True talk. Eco doesn't even like visa applicants to dispose all your money for the sake of tourist visa. Even the so called white pple still manage their travelling expenses. One should try by all means to make his or her budget reasonable enough. The best is if you have some one in the uk that can accommodate you for the period of time, better bc it reduces your budget or better still get a cheaper hostel or hotel. There is no crime using a cheaper hostel. It is what you can afford u offer ,provided u have a stable job, good income and sufficient money in your account.

800k is too much for one that earns 176k. It means that he wants to dispose about six months of his salary to just visit the UK.

800k too much money for one that the sister is inviting. I advice he cut down his budget to something reasonable for ECO to be convinced on his personal and financial circumstances.

He must not spend more than twice of his monthly disposable income. Monthly disposable income means monthly salary and any other earnings he gets monthly.

If his salary only is his only disposable income then he must not spend more than 352k.

His he sister responsible for his accommodation?

Well with that budget, it is still okay even without his sister assistance. You dont need your sister help.
352K is approximately 800 pounds according to oanda.

Return economy flight: 400 pounds

He should propose to spend 7 days in UK to visit his sister:

Feeding per day: 25 pounds. 25 times 7: 175 pounds

Accommodation in a hostel: 20 pounds per day. 20 times 7: 140 pounds

Weekly bus ticket for transport in town and also from airport: 25 pounds per week (Will use bus to get to destination from airport).

Miscellaneous and Unforeseen expenses: 60 pounds

This equates to 800 pounds. Ensure you write the breakdown in your cover letter. In the UK application in other information: Also explicitly show the breakdown and direct UKVI to read your cover letter and letter of invitation of your sistaer.

Good luck.

Monthly disposable income is what you have left from your salary after monthly expenses. Great analysis. Well done.

My company will provide all necessary docs but can you guide with what docs will be required for submission?

Also , my company either pays salary from two different account since they merged, will this have an effect? I mean I get paid either from to different account names

You should not get involved with your money, let your company make the payment with their account and pay yes you can pay for the training and attach payment receipts . You also need a letter from your company
