You probably installed an app of recent. MIUI ads only show on Xiaomi apps.
Yes, I installed wechat today. Is that the cause?

I have the following reviews to share after using these devices for 3weeks+

Redmi Airdots

Pros
Great bangs for the bucks, i didn't experience any audio loss during calls ( as Ash from C4etech claimed)
The battery last very well
Audio quality is 150%
Bass is really good
Earbuds are really comfy i can wear them for 4 hours without a P
Bluetooth range is pretty impressive 30-40m.
Google assistant works.

Cons
No volume keys on device
Earbuds enclosure is small to lift out for people with large fingers.
Cannot connect to 2 devices at a time.

Mi Band 4

Pros
Battery last longer than Band 3 even with all sensors being activated
Screen resolution is good day& night
Watch face can be customised

Cons
Weak vibration compared to Band 3

REDMI 7A

Pros
Good resolution you can hardly notice its nt full HD, its screen is better than Infinix note5' screen
Battery is a beast
Call quality is good never experience call being dropped.
External speaker is as loud as RN6.
Camera is good for its price range.
Inbuilt radio antenna no earphones needed as an antenna.
Dual 4G
Dark mode out of the box.
Runs common apps smoothly( whatsapp, instagram, gmail etc) no lags at all

Cons
Hotspot is limited to 2.4 Ghz band only, no dual band mode.

That's all i can think of for now.

My Mi 9T is super slippery. Is there any thing I can do to reduce the "slipperyness" apart from buying a tpu case

Security App --> Data Usage --> Restrict --> WLAN

I can't remember the combinations as I'm not on miui.

But check security app

I have searched and searched couldn't find security app. The major issues are I can't download the software updates and I can't update or download any app from playstore

Among your apps look for the one called "Security".

Then check data restriction, scroll in the WiFi section in case your apps are restricted

Yes there are ads, I won't lie, it's a way of bringing down the cost. But they are very easy to remove we have a guide on that. When you are ready let me know. You won't regret the purchase.
