Birthday: Ex Head Of State, Ibrahim Babangida (IBB) Turns 78 Today!

Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida GCFR (born 17 August 1941), is a retired Nigerian Army General who was President of Nigeria from 27 August 1985 to 26 August 1993. He previously served as the chief of army staff from January 1984 to August 1985. Babangida was a key player in most of the military coups in Nigeria (July 1966, February 1976, December 1983, August 1985, December 1985 and April 1990).

Babangida was a chop make i chop guy and everybody thought wow what a nice guy until structural adjustment program scattered Nigerian economy till date, he also canceled ministry of trade and commerce from handling sales of Agricultural program unbehalf of farmers who cant trade abroad, and that singular move colapsed farmers, life till date.. as rural farmers cant grow cocoa, dry the bean and still be sadle with looking for european buyers or middle men who rips them off same as oil palm , cotton and grandnut farmers.

IBB may be seen an enemy to millions of Nigerians over the annulment of June 12 presidential election, allegedly won by MKO Abiola, but to me that has been the best decision he has taken in his entire life.
