My problem now is the new law the government is planning to enforce.

The law that no one owns a cylinder...you take a cylinder to the refilling depot and you are given whatever cylinder in available.... Even if it has been existing since the invention of cylinder. This simply means that every consumer is potentially at the risk of explosion, considering the fact that the expiring date or life span of the cylinder is not paramount but the buying and selling of gas.

I use a hose to seperate the cylinder feom the burner.

The best way to avoid explosion in gass cylinder is not to over load the cylinder above it volume remember gass law an increase in volume of gass in a defined container will increase it pressure
