For me i think it’s black man’s mentality. An average china man that travels to America and makes it will ensure at least all his town people who are Intrested in coming over get settled abroad. Little wonder why you have China towns in most developed countries.
Same with the Indians.

How does any Nigerian migrate or get to the US/UK/Canada illegally? I don't think there's any.

What I sense is that some Nigerians will apply for either the visiting visa or student visa to travel legally to these countries.

However, what happens is that when they get approved of the visa they travel to those countries legally but along the line they now overstay their legal presence in these countries... that is when they become illegal or better term to use "undocumented immigrants" in those countries.

from my understanding, she meant she wasnt sure you can travel illegally, (maybe through fake visas and all), that ppl travel through short stay visas(i.e. tourist visas or student visas) and overstay then automatically becoming illegal or undocumented.

Yes there are China Towns... Little Italy...etc... communities of people from the same place .. where recent immigrants usually stay first until they get up to speed with the new society and branch out. Why conveniently leave out African Nigerian /African communities? Don't you know they exist abroad?...just like the others? Or is it you are bent on putting down the Blackman? And those residents are not there to encourage others to come join them.You need to change your mentality and stop helping others to put down Blacks.

Now on the topic.... what exactly is discouragement?... what is enlightenment?... are those abroad discouraging others from migrating?... or enlightening them about the pitfalls and misconceptions?

Let me put you in the same boat as those abroad. What advice would you give someone who has a profitable business in his village... lives very comfortable... but wants to sell out everything and move to Lagos?.... hoping to work very hard to make it big like so many others there and be driving Mercedes? What advice would you give to him?

I had a big brother(not blood) i stayed with for 4 months in Lagos, we so connected and so attached that he tells me everything in his life and i same, he got married, went to the US with this wife for honeymoon, man was always lamenting about Nigeria bla bla, he came back home, spent 2 months and left again with his wife and hasnt come back. He obviously overstayed and i dont know how, he adjusted his status and last year his wife did same. I dont know how but he sent me pictures of their gcs(we all know how). Now here is the thing, he was always telling me on phone when we talk, man dont waste your time, there are options, K1, CR1, but he always says please come in LEGALLY!!! i told him, well with naija reputation who go wan date or file for me? he said try, all these talks were in 2016/17. Seeing the admin i was in 2017, reading blowjobs, franknetter, ukimmigrant and one of my closest pals leaving with Canada with his friends, i started researching on how to come LEGALLY. It narrowed down to 2 options, marry/engage or school in the US. 2018, i kick started my plans, fast forward 2019, 01:42pm i am currently in the US, happily married and i came in LEGALLY! I could see the joy in his face and his wife when i called them on whastapp video call. What i am trying to say is, someone who migrated illegally will advise and explain how hard things because he has no valid papers. Till now, he still calls and advises me on the jobs to do, how to get stuffs done but all legally. some folks back home are not only ignorant but lazy, you want to go to a country that issues you I-94 immediately you are in? i am not trying to dissuade anyone, just saying things from my own side.

for those who are saying they dont want them to come because of competition or they dont employ 9ja, back home, we have had stories of employees ruining companies alot, US is so expensive, why employ people you know that will give you heart aches or you cant trust?

I am not against people travelling out of naija.I think people should get acquainted with recent immigration laws in whatever country they wish to migrate to inorder to avoid immigration embarrassment.
