so what about Fox

They won't be allowed because they will be killing the movie industry by doing so
killing what?
WB is Killing the movie industry with bad movies like DCEU, monster verse etc.

Disney is saving them

Even if Marvel stop making Spider-Man comics, Sony still have materials that can fetch them billions till the end of this century
not true
A time will come when they will run out of content. And start repeating movies like dark Phoenix X men

Of course!

I don't know why people are bashing Sony for this whereas Disney is the one being greedy.

Disney enjoys full 100% access of toys and merchandise sales of spiderman figure and they still want to take a whooping 50% from Sony again.

So, if the deal was to be agreed, Disney will be getting 150% profits off spiderman, while Sony will be getting 50%.

That's why Sony told Disney to fvck off and walked out!
what are you saying?

Marvel said 50% financing and 50% of the profit. Sony thinks they can make billions without MCU

without a good storyline and directing, NO It won't. And those two are what MCU is great at

the previous deal was ok Are you serious
MCU had 5% of the profit, and when MCU made spiderman enter a billion dollars, Disney approached Sony with 50/50 % deal.

The previous deal was good enough for Marvel.

What can they do? Sony owns the rights to Spider-Man, and they wanted it.

Disney approached Sony with a 50/50 offer on the production costs and profit sharing of future Spider-Man movies. That's great na.

The MCU is a money-making machine, but they needed Spider-Man to make Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame as good as they were.

Na money cause everything.

Sony was already making billions from the spiderman franchise. Also, Sony doesn't need Disney 50% financing as they have been financing the spiderman movies 100% all these while. Despite this, Sony still gave 5% to Disney for it but greedy Disney wants more.

How would Disney feel if Sony is requesting for 50% from spiderman toy and merchandise sales?

Bro, the reverse is the case. Marvel is the one financing the Spiderman movies. Sony gets 95% and Disney 5%. Hence why Disney proposed a 50/50 split.

Wrong bro..Solo spiderman films has been financed single-handled by sony...Also take note that Disney is mostly Marvel...

Sony ensures that they give 5% to Disney as they now own mostly marvel..

See image below where it is stated that "Disney allegedly wanted to co-finance 50/50 the next few Spider-Man movies in exchange for 50% of the profits."

This means that they approached sony to co-finance solo spiderman films 50/50...Also it means that Sony has been the full financier of solo spiderman

Disney is a greedy and selfish studio, I hope Sony takes Spider-Man away from them for good. Let me see how they would build that theme park with Spidey entrance.

That's not all, the benevolent Sony gave Disney all the profits made from merchandise sales and theme park revenue plus extra 5% of the opening weekend gross. The don't collect a dime from the assemble movie, yet the malevolent nature of Disney still wanted 50% of the B.O proceeds.

Did Sony tell them the can't finance Spider-Man movies all on their own, just because it made a billion dollars.
