Lol bruv that wasn't your point, you're derailing. Your initial point wasn't regarding people that tender applications close to their resumption date. Ofc they would get rejected. Your point was that people that are still expecting a reply (like June/July applicants) with their resumption dates close are "likely" to be refused. The aforementioned sets of people are not the same.

Hello Waynee2baba,

The bolded isn't his stated point. You should want to know that most of the applications still waiting for a decision may have been already processed, but waiting to be finalized either because it was sent for a secondary review, pushed aside, or waiting on requested supporting documents (which they rarely do these days except the applicant is lucky enough to request for the gcms notes on time to suddenly dicover it). The gckey account was supose to be a real-time update, but not really accurate of recent.

In the quoted "likely," I can agree with you on that, which means any application still waiting on a decision or any application submitted late might be rejected because he used a word that states there's a "probability."

Stay blessed!

Most of the listed colleges have closed admission for winter, been looking for a way around it.
Frankrobbn1:

The afore-bolded is the main reason for your VISA Rejection!. You already had a degree with a 2.2, you're ought to apply for a degree that is higher than your already completed degree here in Nigeria. This gave the visa officer the impression that you're likely not going to Canada for career advancement but, using study permit as a means to facilitate entry into Canada and wouldn't depart after authorized period of stay.

I would suggest you apply for a post graduate diploma/certificate program that is line with your area of study in order to show a logical progression btwn your previous studies and your intended program.

The purpose of Visit prompted the rest of the refusal grounds in your application. Tackle the above and prepare a convincing letter of explanation that would demonstrate that your current situation has substantively changed to merit a VISA to study in Canada. Once you're done with the letter, you can contact some of the knowledgeable individuals here to help review and make possible amendments where applicable.

In the interim, start searching for a PGD program that is scheduled to commence in January 2020. Schools like fanshawe, Conestoga, Humber, Cambrian College are still open for winter, 2020 Admissions.

It shall end in praises.

Was there any previous update on your account prior to the 'BVL and medicals passed' date?

Pls don’t believe anything that is not on the CIC website. Everybody’s case is unique.

Hello House,

Please what will you advise?

I submitted an online application on the 8th of July, 2019 for Sept 4th entry into a PhD program. I submitted an upfront medical result and since then both eligibility and background has been running concurrently.

I contacted my sch few weeks ago to defer my admission to January which they acknowledged and issued new entry date to me with funding intact.

What do you suggest I do;

1. Should I wait till 8 weeks or Sept 4th and upload the new admission letter.

2. Can I send the new offer letter now?

3. Should I wait for decision before sharing the new offer letter if decision is negative.

Please help.

It doesn't adversely affect your application. Go on with your plans and hope for the best!

If you refuse not to send the acceptance letter to them. During the active processing of your application, IRCC will notify you via your MyCIC account to provide the offer letter for the winter term 2020 in view of the fact that you can't be able to meet up with the fall session prior to your visa issuance. Therefore, sending the letter across to them at this point in your application still doesn't hurt as the information will be updated/appended on your application. So, any of the two is good and acceptable;

Wait till you get your approval or till mid September (I hope you get your approval before then) because most offer letter expires a week or two after resumption. CIC will only ask for an updated offer letter if your approval comes long after your September 4th resumption (from October upward).
For now just relax and pray for approval. Good luck
Thank you for this
This debate has popped up here before. Most often, IRCC relates the terms for a VV and SP interchangeably. Sometimes, they use Temporary Visa to classify them both, as they fall into the same visa classification.

So you might see a visit visa irrespective of applying for a study permit. So before you start panicking, if you apply through an agent, seek for proper proof that he applied for a SP before concluding he applied for a VV. If maybe he refuses or not to release proper info to you, request for your gcms notes. This would give you a clear perspective about your application.

Good luck!

Abeg, I wan ask this question o. Na that my friend again o. He has done the biometrics, so he is asking how soon the Visa processing centre will get back to him.
ralfudoh:
He doesn't )) to go to the embassy, as a simple mail would be okay for him to get a response form them. Going there is a lot more stressful than sending a mail with the necessary information like passport number, date of birth, application number, e.t.c, just something that can help them identify his application. A mail to Lagos office is fine. They would respond. Bear in mind, when sending the mail, I will advice he sends it enquiring for the status of the app. He/she doesn't know if the agent used a Use of Representative form. So you dont draw attention to CIC that an agent submitted for him/her and yet its not stated in the app, thats enough for a 5yrs ban. Trust me, CIC aren't smiling. Be careful on how you thread. Don't end up shooting yourself in the foot. Thats what my friend said I should tell you for your friend grin

I’m asking cuz a friend wants to use his brothers’s company acct but unfortunately they haven’t been paying tax? Plz Qudkom is there any way around this?
The tax receipts isn't a compulsory requirement. But the availability of it strengthens the application. Plus i wouldn't advice that you bank on only a company account for your visa processing.

I am sorry but I doubt if your claims are right that none of the above listed schools offer an IT related program at a post graduate level. I know too well that these institutions are the popular colleges in Canada.Makano and co. can attest to this fact!. For this reason I would like to know the source of your information @JummyFash[/quote

[quote author=makano....haaa .....sorry o, I searched then o but all the ICT available at that moment was Diploma & advance...in fact, you can confirm from@Richasey cos he helped me to check Fanshawe then too when I told him all what I’m seeing is Diploma...And he confirmed it. He Was even tired of searching.. I was surprised now o when I checked those schools had checked earlier before now to see what I didn’t see then... I’m sorry in anyway had given false info. But I’m still seeing Humber ICT in Diploma & Advance, have not seen their post-degree in ICT.

If you are doing this for immigration purpose, I would suggest you try Express Entry route while you are processing your pHd admission/visa since you already have a masters and having atleast 3years work experience makes you more qualified but if otherwise, you can discard my opinion.

My application for study permit was denied and the points raised were;
I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

My dad is my sponsor and I provided assets and bank statements. I am 25, admission is or a PDG in centennial college. I plan on reapplying soon. Could anyone please help on how best to address the concerns raised?.

I don't really understand the tuition fees on their website.
Average tuition fees for international students $17,847
PGD in Business Administration $777.77(international students)
Which one is the main tuition fee?
Should I write the reason why I'm intending to travel with my children in my LOE?
