Hi Denov. Sorry if I am not replying properly. I’m new on this forum. My French is pretty good. I had a personal teacher for almost a year and that got me to A2 level but he left the country and then I just continued reading and practicing on my own. I’m on a C1 level for speaking and listening and about B1 level for reading and writing, but only because I hardly use it. I will advise you go to the TEF forum created here and also attend classes at Alliance Française. Self study can be quite daunting because you don’t know if you’re right or not. Or you could also try “Lingoda”. I love the language so it was easier for me to learn it. I hope I was helpful.

Good evening everyone. I am a silent reader here and I have learnt so much. I have a question please. I wrote TEF not long ago and my results were very high. Now, if I put French (TEF) as my 1st language and English (IELTS) as my 2nd language, my CRS score comes to 490. However, if I put English as my 1st language and French as my 2nd language, my CRS score drops to 445. Will it be an issue if I put French as my first language seeing as I am a Nigerian and English is our first language here? Or it does not matter which I put as my 1st language? I am worried I might be asked to prove something. Awaiting anyone's response, please. Thank you.

@DanMisla to confirm, but I believe you can indicate either language as your first....so you can input whichever one gives the higher CRS points. You've already proven all that there is to prove by getting the required scores in the 2 language tests...so......congrats in advance!

Just cross check that all is in order and fire on.

Just some detail on the CRS, the first language gives more points total of 128 with spouse than the second language total of 22 with spouse (plus 30 bonus points total of 52) so the 490 would suggest you did better in French than in the English test. Just cross check that all is in order and fire on.

Like others have said, it's no problem at all to put French first.
If your estimations are correct, @Jimiaries prepare your docs for ITA as 490 is quite assured.
Best wishes!

Any news yet, I am in the same boat

Mamatonti:
Hello everyone, ...so my file had been in Ottawa for exactly 10 months (AOR Sept 21st 2018) then on the 22nd July it was transferred to Accra. This has left me extremely worried and upset. So far i have not seen a lot of people this has happened to. Normally when a file is transferred to Accra in the 1st week there is some communication to submit some document, but its been radio silent. even when i sent a mail i saw a the generic response that " its in queue for review". Another queue!!! After 10 months in Ottawa embarassed embarassed
My 1st GCMS says Eligibilty rec pass (RR Client Info) Criminalty Passed and security not started. I have also submitted 2 ADR's one for My 2nd sons birth cert/ rprf and the 2nd was Schedule A for me n my spouse( before the transfer). Abeg are there any cases similar to mine.? At this point i am just exhausted. Thanks

N/B; I have ordered another set of notes

Any word yet from AVO, I am in a similar situation

Scbhoviv:
Good morning guys. So I had an ADR to submit and at the time I could not find any place holder on my account so I submitted via the webform, just for me to wake up this morning , checked my account and saw the placeholder with an overdue on it. So my question is what do I do. I'm trying to see if I said just go ahead and submit like that again or is the webform enough. I'm confused

Lol. Je te comprends. Je ressens toujours la même chose parfois mais avec une pratique constante, elle s'estompe.

Very true. No spouse though so maybe that’s why it’s very high. And also below 30. Over cross checked and was just worried for nothing I guess. Thank you so much for your advice. When is your result going to be ready?

Celebrating small wins.

On the quest of increasing my CRS scores, I started the CIMA journey few months ago. I weighed my options then between BCS and CIMA and I found that CIMA would be the fastest, but it came with a price, "Hard work and total dedication". I just passed the certificate level (BA1 - BA4) and will start with the evaluation this week. It took me approximately four months to complete. Preparing for my IELTS now.

Please I need Clarifications. I already have my ITA and deadline for application submission is 25th September. My spouse is currently out of the country and what to know if we can schedule for medicals for 23rd September and submit same day.

Any implications with respect to the deadline? Or what would my fellow canny peeps advise

Post AOR guru's please; I need your advice:

"Has Jon Snow, and if applicable, Jon Snow's family members taken any trips outside their country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since their 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc?"

Are we expected to include details of travel history of every one of our family members? shocked

Good morning All, please I have a question, I had my masters degree in UNILAG, so I decided to use it for evalution using Wes, I sent waec, then applied for transcript in unilag and that also has been sent but I forgot negligently to send certificate also, now wes has updated my profile that my waec, scratched card and transcript has been approved but certificate/statement of result has not been received, My question is I have collected attestation letter but have not collected my certification, can I send the attestation/to whom it may concern to WES, would it be accepted and approved? Please I need urgent reply on This, anybody that has used his/her attestation and it was approved, this is only what is pending my evaluation. Thank you
