The easiest thing to do when you've got no point is to rain insults. Well, i still won't go down that lane with you son. I'm so above that. Back to the point, same folks like you who say SS and SE are one never get to say this to the face of the SS. I'm glad you fell for that because a lot of folks from the SS don't know that your kind sees them as same thing with the SE and also detest them same way. I need not preach about that here, you are doing a great job i must say. Feel free to shed more light on your stance if you so please. Torylanez: |

CeterisXVII: People like you said the same about Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, USSR, Sudan and Ethiopia. All those countries eventually broke up. |

What if Atiku is declared the winner of the election by the Supreme court and he grants Igbos the referendum to chose Biafra or Nigeria? checkolatunji: |

IPOB ought to have used the opportunity of their 'no vote in Biafraland' campaign to conduct their own referendum without waiting for the zoo. They don't need Jubril of Sudan to conduct the referendum.

CeterisXVII: Yes, but Germany reunited by choice. Not this one in Nigeria where some people are screaming that we must all be "one Nigeria" just because Lugard brought us all together in 1914 |

We ain't fighting anything this time around. Of course, I will be bumping into Biafra every 3 months to say hi to you guys, eat Assorted Bushmeat with original palmy at Afikpo, Ofe Nsala at Isialangwa and Nkwobi with chilled Hero beer at Onitsha while Ngozika, Nnkiru, Adaora, Obiangeli or Amarachi will be massaging my back. So hustle hard and let's enjoy life in Obodo Biafra. - Eze Ndi Ofe Nmanu-1 of Biafraland. gidgiddy: 1 Like |

gidgiddy:Who told you that it is everybody that wants to leave this country? Even among the members of your tribe, NOT all of them want to leave Naija. Or did you do any quantitative research to confirm that everyone of them wants to leave? The last time the Area youths told them to leave Northern Nigeria, what did they say? |

CeterisXVII: Dem no gree. They think power won't concentrate even further into the hands of the already rich. The only thing keeping the wolves at bay is the other 5 regions. If people want to be taken seriously just win elections. In the East no politician has the man power nor goodwill of IPOB. If they go political they can sweep every election from ward, lg chairmen & state assembly to governors, house of reps & senators. There is no secession clause. The UN doesn't like Africans. They won't come to our rescue. We have to save ourselves. Begging white folks for self determination ain't gon get it done. But what do I know? I'm just a nobody on Nairaland. 1 Like |

kjhova:^^^^^ ^^^^^ @kjhova Your analysis is on point. This is what I've also been saying about this issue and the overbearing attitude of some of these guys who have BEEN PUSHING for the so-called secession. They have to contend with international treaties and inability to directly access the ocean except through very dredging which has to be done every 2 years. What has happened to the ONITSHA RIVER PORT[not a Sea Port as some misinformed people from Iboland usually call it] since the last President Jonathan commisioned it? It simply is NOT viable because it is a River Port. Even Warri and Calabar are River Ports and NOT a Sea Ports and in International shipping big Ocean-going ships will not go there except to Lagos or Onne. I remember reading an article in Punch in 2006 when Olisa Agbakoba said he and his immediate older brother were forcibly conscripted into the rebel fighting force, while his own legal practitioner father was located on Nigerian soil. Olisa Agbagogba said in that 2006 Punch interview [which I still have in my library archives] that there was a lot of HOSTILITY towards Onitsha indigenes by Ojukwu's forces and many Onitsha indigenes were arrested and locked up in prisons in Onitsha and other places... including himself at just 16 years of age and his immediate older brother. It was later that they were forcibly conscripted to fight Nigeria against their will. He said this must have been as a result of suspicions about the role of Nnamdi Azikiwe's relative Ifeajuna and the fact that Ojukwu and his ilk felt that Onitsha indigenes were not commited enough to the failed secession project... which im my opinion was already dead on arrival because Hilary Njoku the first commander of the rebel fighters [before Alexander Madiebo took over from him] where not prepared for the war. Ojukwu had Hilary Njoku thrown into prison throughout the duration of the Nigerian Civil War. Magaret Ekpo whose father is also from present-day Anambra State and her mother from Calabar was also thrown into prison along with several Ibo-speaking people for opposing the war of secession that was started through mass hysteria and also the stubborness of Colonel Emeka Ojukwu. All the best! 1 Like 1 Share |
