This reminds me about the funny experience I had with an Agent early this year while trying to change my accommodation. I made the agent understood that I needed two bedroom flat. After inspecting a whole lot of buildings with none meeting my expectations, the Agent now linked me with another Agent. the new Agent told me about one available two bedroom flat that meet my expectations, and he even boasted that I would surely like it. But the first red flag was the rent, which was extremely cheaper than the normal two bedroom flat in the area. the agent was even boasting that I needed to pay fast because a lot of other people are interested in it.
Now the reality set in when we got into a very spacious compound with about three different sections of Two storey buildings. I was even looking up with happiness, because in my mind, I love spacious environment and topmost apartment because of ventilation. I was about to tell the Agent that I preferred the upstair when he pointed at an entrance that was locked, and the window that we could barely see. This is because the window itself was underground, just a very small fraction could be seen from the surface. That was when the Agent now come up that it was actually an underground apartment.
if I say I was terrify, it is an understatement, because it was not supposed to be meant for sane human being. from my observations, if you enter the apartment, you will barely see or hear anything happening outside. Anytime it rains, na OYO you dey.
I made him understand that I've never entered one before, not to talk of living in one. I made him understand that I have the fear of anything underground not to talk of living in one.
That was when this Agent started boasting that I would actually like it that he lived in one when he was in Enugu and that Underground apartment is the best place to live. I kicked against it but my brother that we went there together told be to be patience, at least to satisfy our curious even when we know we won't go for it.
fortunately, we were told that the landlord was sleeping and nobody dare wake him up anytime he is sleeping. so we concluded on checking it the following day.
I've made up my mind that this one is out of it.
The following conversations ensued the following day between the Agent and I:
Me: Good morning Sir.
Agent: Good morning, are we set to go and inspect the building now?
Me: No Sir, I've made up my mind that I can't live in that building, so we need to check others.
Agent: Don't mind the landlord, who is going to rent that kind of building, it is only meant for the prisoners, or for rearing chicken or goats, that is why it remained unoccupied for long. who is going to move in into that kind of apartment.
I started rolling on the floor laughing seriously that see this man that was trying to persuade me into going for this apartment only yesterday is the same man saying this.

The lesson I learnt is that, don't always be in haste to do something or to take a decision, and always stand on your point and don't allow others to mislead you into doing something you may later regret.

Most of these agents are theives. Moreso, House rents are damn expensive in lasg unlike Ogun state where u see a very condusive 2bedroom flat for 250-300k..

Ok ooo, I told this agent to get me an apartment. This agent took me to a house facing the forest wthout any fence or form of demarcation. I started thinking that I must have offended this guy in the past. I started apologizing to him that he shouldn't be angry with me by chatting with him and I felt he has forgiven me. So, I believed that he will now show me a good place now that we are friends.

We went to the next house, it was then I concluded that Seyi the agent needs Deliverance from poor housing.

I encouraged my guy in his biz and that he shud not worry... I shall get a place and when I do, I shall wire him 10k. .. Na so I jakpa from Seyi .... Till today I strong believe Seyi needs deliverance.

cum Brothel.

After I told him, I am a married man with a large family.

To access the house, I have to pass through the bar, the way those drunkards were looking at me, gave me chills.

I tagged along just for curiosity sake.

Immediately I started imagining in horror, how my wife will be coming back from work tired and all these hungry looking men will try to grab her backside and all.

The amount of fist fights I have to put up with!

Thank GOD I have my money and I am not desperate for an urgent accommodation at that time.

The apartment was a dark underground house! Long dark corridor, could be a perfect murder scene.

The loud music from the bar echoed through the walls.

And there were mosque and Church loud speakers blasting through the walls.

Getting a good house in woji is almost impossican't

My brother...but i did.....and i got a very very very very very veey good one...am telling you..but i suffered shaa before i got that one..

As a young man looking to settle down. I met with agent who took me to.different houses around Surulere. The one I liked so much belong to someone in London. The agent said they will need to.snap my passport so the owner can see. Mind you, I just came back.from night shift. My eyes were swollen and red due to lack of.sleep. She saw my pics and said I looked like a tout. Imagine nonsense. I left the apartment. People living in the compound be like people that are jazzed.

Another option came. I went to the bank to get cash. On my way to the agent place. I saw two people fighting at the entrance of the apartment am about to pay for. The guys said I shouldn't pay to anybody. The agent never knew i've gotten idea of what is going on. I just walk away.

One took me to abandoned apartment. He was just saying this house is good. You better rush it. I just look at him like am about to pee on him.

All these while I didn't bother to fall for all their pranks until a close family agent connive with a landlord son to dupe me. They use my cash to run a business. I was passed off because this is someone who knew me and my plans.
My people I take the matter to Police station, only to discover that the guy is a brilliant crook. I only mentioned his name. Not surname o. The police was describing him like he was the father of the crook. Las Las, the agent provide my money after 8 month. Because you no fit chop my money get peace.
