Mediocre. Between Anambra and Enugu which one is 28 years today? Enugu State and Abia State were created out of Anambra and Imo not the other way round. You can only say this is Awka's 28th year as a State capital.

Oboy the kind construction that is going on in the east no be here o. Every where you look there is a massive building being erected. My hometown okpuno is not left out. Igbos are gradually bringing alot of their investments back home. Long live ndi anambra, long live ndi imo, enugu, ebonyi, abia, rivers, delta and long live umu igbo nile. Ka chineke mezie okwu.

Op you're really forcing yourself to show that Awka is beautiful. Truth be told, the government needs to invest in that capital which they are not doing. Awka is average and below par of what a state capital should be or look like. Cultism, erosion, poor building plans and lack of industrialization has really derailed the city.

I have a little problem with the caption. Anambra was created in 1976. It was in 1991 that Enugu state was carved out and old Anambra had a new capital in Awka as old capital Enugu was lost to Enugu state. It's actually Awka the state capital that is 28.

If Igbo lands have good leaders with functioning brain ni, thier land should have been the best in Nigeria, do u know a whole SE is less than the size of just one state(Niger) in the north, in term of land mass, Oyo state alone can swallow 3 to 4 states out of the 5 States in the east, it is easier to develop a small portion of land, compare to bigger one, yet Igbo land is nothing to write about, the only aim of their youth in life is to travel to Lagos.
