charlesemeka85:

Through a press release published on their official website, Wolfsburg have announced that Germany U21 international of Nigerian descent, Felix Uduokhai has signed for Bundesliga rivals FC Augsburg on a season-long loan.

Uduokhai is embarking on his first loan spell since joining Wolfsburg from 1860 Munich in the summer of 2017.

The central defender has made 37 appearances for Wolfsburg, scoring three goals but has seen his first team opportunities limited in the new season after missing games against Cologne and Hertha Berlin.

He was a member of the German U21 squad that finished second in the 2019 European U21 Championship but was an unused substitute in all their five matches.

Apart from the aforementioned clubs, he has worn the jerseys of the youth teams of VfB Annaberg 09 and Erzgebirge Aue.

Uduokhai's loan deal runs until June 30, 2020 and FC Augsburg has secured a purchase option for the 21-year-old

He haa played 37 games of professional first team football he is nearly 22.

I find it hard to look at that as outstanding quality his parent team is not a team bustling with top quality players. So he will have OPPORTUNITY bit it seems his quality is in doubt.

Why then is there so much interest in him by the NFF, is there something l am missing.

If he is that good then he should be Outstanding in the Turkish league.

And if he has been consistently outstanding with top quality performances why is he still playing in Turkey

Yeah he is still hustling so that he will receive a bid from the championship.

He's obviously not good enough and worthy of discussion in this hallowed chambers. Ovie Ejiara, Onyedinma and Eze have been consistent and the very best in their league over the past 3 seasons.
No wonder Barcelona and Bayern Munich are in a sugar rush to get them signed up £100million.

Komekn and below bang average mediocre players are like 5 and 6

Dude will not let us hear word about fred onyedinma, someone that plays in league one, now watch how he will come and compare league one and the Turkish league

If truly they have been waiting for Nigeria's call, they will not answer that of England. The people in authority in Nigeria never have high regard for their talents. See Aribo of recent getting call up. If they need them, they would have gotten them all this while. Lookman is even their next target, as mentioned by the media, despite the number players Nigeria have on the wings. That says it all.

Finally, Eze and Ovie have been waiting for national team call up without response to date.

Yes dey av bn waiting, but, av dey been consistently outstanding?

You just been sentimental. Are these kids born abroad less Nigerian? Or is the super eagles only consist of players born in Europe?

The senior team of every nation consist of the best that country can offer and if many European countries field players that have no parental link to them I see nothing bad if we follow suit.

France won the world cup with half of its players of African parentage. England have so many sons of immigrants in their set up while Italy just snatched Moise kean from the CIV after noticing how talented he is.

Team selection is open to anyone but you have to prove that you are better than others to get a chance not by being home or foreign born

I do not agree with this. It would have been so stupid of them to decline that England youth team call up, since ours wasn't forthcoming.

At the end of it all, we will be looking for players playing in supposed top leagues in the world. Tell me what etebo did that this dude cannot do better? He is a forward drive dude. Forget the fact that he nor get beta club play for. I have been saying this since forever. Ability matters. But unfortunately, the dude doesnt and cannot fit into Rorh's conservative play. Thus i cannot clamour for him to be invited. All I sha know is 2 years is almost here for another afcon. Maybe una eye go clear say Rorh no be the guy at all.

This is disappointing from you. even when l disagree with you l still get some level of rationality although it may be deviously twisted.

Players dont remain consistent in one level of performance it's either up or down.

l haven't talked about Onyedinma for two seasons. IMO his misplaced emotive loyalty to Millwall has caused his career to have lost momentum. Two seasons ago when Ian Holloway was Manager after leaving Millwall tried to buy him for QPR and also Watford an EPL team put in an offer for him. He declined both offers.

Then decided to stay with the quintessential kick and rush, blood and guts English Manager Neil Harris at Millwall. Very ill-advised decision. His good friend now being celebrated was still at Millwall

Fast forward things got so bad that Fred, I commend his boldness refused to play for Millwall and Harris. Deciding to go on loan to league one with Wycombe Wanderers than stay at Millwall playing police game instead. He has now made that move permanent. I know that he is playing good football and he is rising upwards. In a sense stepping down to step up it is a wise move that should pay in the long term hopefully.

However he has not done enough to merit a call to the SE in my opinion. That's why l haven't talked about him for two seasons. I haven't said he is not good enough just not done anything to justify a call up.

Unlike many here who still talk about past glories for player inclusion and historical achievements, I SIMPLY DO NOT.

If that's your basis for indictment historical notification then i am very guilty.

Having all these facts not suppositions, what on earth had Fred Onyedinma got to do with the discussion as it stands now. ? ❓

I think you are being comical unlike however unlike us "Warri Pikin" you are simply NOT FUNNY AT ALL. In case you considered a career in comedy.

One more thing l challenge you to mention just one MEDIOCRE PLAYER I HAVE CALLED FOR

After una go insult forgiveness, even player wey no need goals and assists una don dey clamour for assists and goals

The igbekeme no dey get assists ooo, when una dey mention igbekeme here i am not sure anyone attacked you guys with assists, you want goal and assists from a centre/defensive midfielder abi? You can go and say that to Arthur Melo of barcelona who is a first teamer in brazil national team

Dont follow the bandwagon , stop forcing a point when there are none.

But your said Ejaria & Eze plays for the English Underage National team. This guy is the captain of the Nigeria u23 national team. You can't be using foreigners to determine Nigerian standard when the person talking is talking about the Nigerian national team. Until those guys put on Nigeria's green & white then let Nigerians gloss over azubuike's talents. To me, i don't thing he was hyped. The guy is good may not be consistent. Lets call a spade a spade. Whether he won MOTM or not.

Ejaria and Eze have aldo stated their intention to play for Nigeria at senior level.

You are right, he isn't consistent.

Azubuike is a decent player but is he going to improve our midfield? Change the result against Algeria? No.
