Nairaland is fast becoming a place where the most senseless and gullible Nigerians can be found.

Can yhu imagine the comments of some of the dullards.

Over 100 people heading to Lagos in a truck at the same time n yhu think it's just a coincidence or mere movement?

How easy is it for such number of people to just decide they are moving to Lagos from far away north n just moved at once?

There must have been series of meetings and arrangements with conscious effort to move.

What exactly is the idea behind their move? Could this just be a simple interest of mass migration by people of like mind all in a bid to find a greener pasture?

They said no weapons or something incriminating found on them, I laugh in Spanish. If they have intention, I bet the whole thing would have been well planned to conceal anything incriminating being found on them. Anything they need to operate can always be delivered to them later in anyway possible.

Eveb ask yourself this question:
How did they travel all through the north down to the southwest without being interrogated or interrupted before even getting to the west?

Not jumping into conclusion and not saying some people shouldn't move to any part of the country, afterall, it's still a one Nigeria.

However, some movement definitely calls for serious security attention. It will be stupid to just let these move on without proper investigation
. They won't listen to u bro but I suggest the Lagos government should investigate the mile12 market and see things for themselves. I rest my case

One of many consequences of hypocritical people whose government choose religion as an industry. A byproduct of a feudal and backward fulani hegemonic elite that use illiteracy as a tool to keep the masses down and perpetuate all manners of political evils. The virulent practice that has been elevated to state policy that now makes Nigeria a cesspool of poverty.

Lol. You're gullible

Majority if not all of them are actually from Niger and chad

They're not Nigerians

But thanks to our useless immigration and northerners we don't know who is Nigerian anymore
If they are foreigners hand them over to immigration and follow up to ensure they are deported. If they are Nigerians they have the right to move freely

No sir. They have been detained illegally and it is a dangerous precedent because they were not found carrying arms or anything. One of them has even paid rent somewhere in Lagos. People move in large numbers inside planes. Or is it because these ones are poor?
No, they are under special interrogation. Their movement was suspicious, it is a normal process.
More importantly, they are from a region that is known for terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, cattle rustling and all forms of criminality that are trending here and there. How can over a hundred men travel to were they don't know for the first time?
You can't rule out the possibility that some could running away from their crime as bandits. You never know. The task force did not just stop them, it was their rascality that made people to report them.
Again, allow the police to do their work, it is a matter of national security.
Re: Lagos Taskforce Intercepts Truck With 123 Men, 48 Bikes by dwas: 8:20am On Aug 31, 2019
State Government should ensure their biometric are capture, or each be given National Identity card.
If they don't have where to stay or whom to stay with in Lagos, it will be better to repatriate them to their state before they become menace to Lagosian.

This has nothing to do with ethnicity. It's just safety precaution. It poise a security challenge when you have a group of people without home and work roaming the street.

What is going on in this country?
What is going on is that this country is so wonderful and prospering economically, being the safest place in the world that people migrate from one state to another and out of the country for holidays.... They are going on fun bike riding to lagos...

Nigeria is a ticking time bomb.

Many more are coming, the police were able to see these ones because they were tipped off by the public. There could be more that may have crossed under the radar.
I saw a similar migration when I was traveling from ph to Enugu last week

After investigation what do you want sanwo-olu to do. The Lagos state governor is just the chief security officer in theory. Directives must still be gotten from Abuja. So the governor is also helpless.

Sincerly they have not committed any crime

The last time i checked Jigawa is constitutionally still part of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the constitution allows for free movement.

The Lagos State law does not prohibit use of Motorbikes in all roads so tell me...whats their offence.

Would they have stopped them if they were ibos or Yorubas in a truck?

Just asking.I know things are hard but lets also not treat the Notherners as second class citizens or outcast.

If we feel they are then lets run a system of government where everyone would govern himself and we all need visas to visit each

As it remains ...they havent done anything wrong

Sir Egbeyemi abeg you know the constitution.Lets stop all this media arrest

Oga, I do not support bad things.
It's like saying because SARS always find things on gboys phones therefore, all Nigerians should be subjected to same harassment.
If proper structures such as the national database is in place, then it would be easy to fish out those into banditry and foster forensic works.
I'm against trial by error approach. Innocent people will suffer.

By the time you do your detailed interrogation and nothing is found, will you charge them for mass travelling?
I hate it when people think less of others simply because they argue base on principles.
We would be alive God willing, then we'll see what comes out of it.

The problem with us proud flattinos is that wee see things ahead of time. When we warn or raise alarm , sophisticated wise men will choose to hate, suspect us,and be blind and deaf over everything we say or touch.
This is just the beginning.

Was any incriminating object found on them?
