It's simple, everyone pays tax according to the amount they make and their tax bracket. It is removed from salary whether it is per month or every week/two weeks. Since this calculation does not take into account taxes paid on your house, car, expenses for your children, schooling etc; 1 in 4 people get a refund after the year ends.

3)They have a lot more opportunities and you can be whatever you want to be, an artist, a creator, an athlete, a business owner, a white collar worker, a construction worker etc and all these jobs will pay you enough to enjoy a decent standard of living.

4) The average salary in the US is 50k USD a year which is enough to afford a car, groceries, a social life, education etc and to pay rent on or to save up for a nice home. The only reason Americans are indebted is because of the promotion of debt by banks there which push Americans to buy more expensive cars and homes and phones than their salaries can pay for. They don't need debt to afford those things, they take on debt because they spend beyond their means. In Africa were smart enough to spend within our means.

5) They enjoy a much higher quality of life. Clean streets, parks for their leisure, arts and theatre, music arenas, social Venues, well built infrastructure etc.
