I'm yet to see any traffic police in Lagos like the ones in omole to Berger, those Berger traffic police r just cooperate beggers. I was aheading towards Ikeja from omole, the queue on d main lane is long enough so I join d second lane driving slowly, before I know they jumped out from dia cubicle, d guy in front blow straight to ogba and I was with a rider, so they land in my front, rider didn't waste time he opened the door with an excuse of being in rush, the police woman took advantage of that and entered the car "Oga to the office'... Before I knew it, a man came down from his car and start snuggling out with them, I've done nothing, he took it soh personal to the point of snapping them, this lead to physical assault. I wasn't even aware of all this as I was still battling with the lady calling towing van cos I refused to follow her order, on my part I'm placing calls to my connection as well, while the man and the other officer have dragged each other to area G. When its all said and done, they can't let me go due to the case becoming an assault and they need me as a witness, so I was referred to the station instead of lasma office, from 10am, it took me 1.30pm to leave as they detained the man and made me to deny him if we are not accomplice, I felt bad, but at the same time felt the man blew things out of proportion. Las las the lady was begging me and ask me to exercise patient cos DPO is involved in the case, I was just looking at her like " I don't care". At the end I drop 3k willingly when leaving since they ask for atall stall.

#RRS Arrest Two Robbers Who Hijacked Taxify Vehicle In Lekki, Three Other Suspects
...'How Vehicle Was Sold To Dealer In Republic Of Benin For N250k

Two suspected robbers, who hijacked a Taxify Toyota Corolla Sports in Lekki and three others that participated in the selling of the car to a dealer in Republic of Benin for the sum of N250,000:00 have been arrested by the Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).

The suspects: Michael Sosa (27), Nelson Benson (24), Idowu Dauda (30, Owolabi Shobayo, a.k.a Daju pa (29) and Biliaminu Abu, a.k.a Gengen (43) were all arrested in Ijoko and Otta, Ogun State last week for hijacking and selling a Taxify car in February, 2019.

It was revealed, Michael Sosa in company of Dosumu, now at large, had sometime in February, 2019 converged in Elegushi Beach, Lekki where they both hatched the plan to hijack a Taxify car, move it to Ogun State and sell.

Sosa, a ‘yahoo – boy’, after waiting till 10:00 p.m. ordered a Taxify ride from Agungi Estate to Lagos Island. In the car with him were other suspects, identified as Dosumu and Idowu Samuel.

According to Sosa, “at Abraham Adesanya Estate, Lekki, I told the driver I wanted to ease myself. We alighted, while I pretended to be urinating, Dosumu poured dried pepper he was keeping in a bottle water he bought in traffic. He allowed the substance to dissolve well.

We got back into the car. The Taxify driver was about to start the car when Dosumu poured the mixture on the driver’s head. Spontaneously, he screamed and jumped out of the car. He started shouting for help. I got on his seat and drove the car away from the scene.

I drove to the road leading to Alpha Beach, where we stopped for some hours because we suspected we were being followed. At about 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, I proceeded to Agege via Agidingbi, dropping Dosumu in Omole. I picked Nelson Benson in Agege Stadium. Nelson was to direct us through the routes that prevent us from encountering the police and to Ijoko”, he stated.

He explained further; “at Ijoko, I took the car to Alfa Mouka’s house. He was my spiritualist. I told him the car was stolen. It was at this point we began to source for buyers.

It was introduced to Daju pa and Gengen. The two of them, as I got to know later were dreaded cultists and notorious criminals in the area. Because I was new in the area, I didn’t know them quite well. The area was supposed to be a hide out for my family and I I couldn’t confront the duo. I have been warned that they call the shot there.

They took the car from me, by this time, they were already scheming and getting difficult to understand. I told them I wanted to sell the car for N300,000.

Explaining his role, Daju Pa stated “Eniba (Idowu Dauda) was the one who drove the car to my house in Ijoko. He told me that it belonged to his brother. I discovered that the car had no papers. This made it difficult to sell.

We got a dealer who asked us to bring it to the Republic of Benin. Gengen and I took it across the Nigeria at about 11:00 p.m. after changing the number plate”.

He added, “We sold the Toyota Corolla Sport for N250,000. We would have sold it better than that but for the papers that were not available. I took N190,000 of the money. I gave N60,000 to Gengen while I gave N40,000 to Eniba to give Michael. Although, I got to know that it was N30,000 that got to him. Our link to Benin got N13,000.

That was how we shared the money”.

This is Ember month... We drive safe and pray hard for guidance.

Stay woke.

Baba read again... He said he felt bad. So he has answered you. The man might have used the opportunity of the scene to get overly agressice with them hence they had to start a scruffle. Whatever happened.. We live to fight another day.

Its so bad as ppl read things without digesting... Like I said I wasn't aware of what was happening around me and it is crystal clear the man had transfered aggression on that particular traffic man, at no point should he get into violence to the point of cutting his button, if u know what that means in law? If he have not flip outrageously, it would have cost me nothing or 5h to buy my way, I followed the second lane cos I was grounded, not making excuse for myself, wisdom they said is profitable, let's stop being to holy or crying more than the bereaved, I wasn't fighting or having an escalated issue. The case here is that the man is pushing for the traffic officer to b dismiss from service, which I think it has not gotten up to that and what I meant by witness is the reason they delayed me, buy I never bear witness to or against anyway, the traffic police boss only ask if I know the man and we are both accomplice, what do you expect me to say, I have meet him before? As much as police hate going to court, I honestly don't think I want to start picking court date on issue that can b maturely handle.

About the man being detained, its a police case and I can 100% guaranty you dia language is money, the only thing they are scared of and dislike is snapping them on duty, which I don't know why people do that. I have had an encounter of being check and rider was infuriated saying is uber... In my mind, I was just praying she won't put me in trouble, she brought out her phone and start to video, they end up telling us to drive to the station, I know the kind of beg I beg that day. I felt bad for whatever happened on Thursday, the police lady apologised and her boss blast her and she regret her actions, but do you have to hold me responsible for what I don't know or witness? I only heard wot happened BTW the man and the officer when I was forced to appear at the station, is not as if we set eyes on each other, even if I see him today, I honestly won't recognise him.

Sure boss, everyone does this things if one lane is long enough and you saw ppl following the second lane, we sometimes follow suit. I really felt bad with what does 2 guys wrote up dia, cos u don't know half of what I can do for the next man, ask ppl that do know me very well. For me to b grounded to know all d lasma from Ikeja to Berger and b so at sure nothing can happen to me in that zone, it must taken sacrifice. Before they could call a towing van and ticket me for obstruction are they aware how much I am going to pay? Now they ask me to go, what do they expect me to do in case like this.

Tonight I really saw how hypocrite people can be

I never denied him uncle, please you guys should stop reading unnecessary meaning, if you have an altercation with someone and behind you another person stabbed the person, you honestly don't have to hold yourself responsible or admit to know about the scene, when in honesty you don't know about it. You guys really know how to unsettle someone conscience, but I'll let it slide here.

If you need to know for clarity, the man was charge for assault and mine for traffic offence (Obstruction), now the traffic boss which in dia department was saying I collided with the man to harass an officer, if I admit to that, we will both b charge for assault and handed over to the police, do you want me to admit to sometin I did not do or even aware off? Men u guys scared the hell of me with ur judgement tonight. I felt bad I couldn't stand for him thats what I meant by deny. Part of me wasn't even happy with him, I may be wrong here, but I felt if he had not gotten into issues with the officer, this case won't have gone beyond 10/15mins and I would have been able to work that day, but after everything, I just drove home and stayed restless for d rest of d day.

Oga pope. Thanks for sharing, we HV learnt. Really appreciate. But if I may ask, the second lane, is it an offence on that road, ( ogunwusi or ogunsuyi road) and were you the first to create the second lane or they just handpicked you out of all the vehicles in the lane , maybe becos you r uber.

I call dem necessary evil, because they overlook a lot of stuff, but on their set day, it will take grace not to fall into their trap. Yes! It is an offence to use your right side on a two way lane when you are about to turn at a junction like that and no I wasn't the first person, like I said the other person zoomed straight towards ogba as he/she noticed their movement, normally in such scenario, they were suppose to tell me not to stop dia but point for me to drive towards ogba. The officer in question from my observation needs money and it has become habitual for them, b4 coming out in the morning, they have a targeted amount on their mind and how many keke they have to catch to get the money, once you r an uber driver and fall into their hand, that's a big prey for them, as they assume uber drivers r dull and make good money unlike the danfo guys. Let me set an example for you, those that always park along the pzifer road r parking on d wrong spot, but they always overlook it till the day they want to do operations, they may need 50 cars and nothing on earth will make them not to get that 50 cars, such day they just off dia phones nd turn deaf ear to any form of pleading. Another thing that use to piss them off, is when you commit an offence and tell them other people r doing it while showing them example, they do take that personal.

If you sit around them for long, gist and break bread with them, you will come to understand they are normal human with life issues, in as much as they can b mean atimes, it is the way you relate with them that counts as long as they are not out on operations, mostly they don't have the intention of taking anyone to the office or impounding any car when they don't even know what they are going to eat for lunch, as long as you don't rubish dia ego, no matter d problem, a good understanding can sought it out. I'm not speaking for airport or local government touts, those once are on illegal duty and out dia to wreck havoc on dia victims.

@Franksam2009, I ask you a question and I'll really appreciate if you can reply, not just for your to spot what's wrong, you can as well profess a solution in such instance, at least you weren't under any pressure as mine and you have time to put your tots together.

It's not hard, There are many on this thread looking at your posts since last month, I personally know of two men here that have given out hp from this platform since you started posting. I figured the problem is they consider your post arrogant while you waiting on them to contact you and now you are still waiting on them, Not to mention you an advocate for lower prices, No investor wants to deal with such a person. That's the reality on ground. Trust me bro, I mean it when I say I wish you luck but realize one man can't influence the market, this isn't stock exchange or Bitcoin trading, Owners spend through their nose to fix theirs cars after damage and you advocating for 20-25k. Them go just dey one corner dey laugh at your post.
