For those that have power to withdraw other people privileges, lets not scare people away from voicing their mind. We all learn by speaking out.

I have taken my time to read the whole question and solutions proferred from the moment it came up. I am yet to see anything wrong with the op going ahead to submit his application as long as the statement is not older than 31 days and the balance didnt drop below the mark for the 28 days. I have read the whole tier 4 guidelines, i am yet to see where it is written that the money must be in your account after the 28 days. I stand to be corrected and many folks who have gotten their visas here can testify to this. You may argue that it was stated that the money must be available to you for your study whilst in the uk. But i havent met many people who keep money in savings or current account forever.

To fulfil the 28 days requirement, people liquidate interest yielding mutual funds, treasury bills, fixed deposits etc. Once you fulfil the 28 days, i believe there's nothing wrong in moving your funds back to these security instruments even while your application is being considered.

Just so that you know, the banks are not obliged to disclose any account balance to any visa office other than to confirm authenticity of the bank statement presented. This is the reason why visa officers look at trend and not closing balance which often time could have changed before the application is been considered.

For tier4 visa, the 28-day rule is simply 28 days of maintaining a certain balance nothing more. The ukvi knows many folks do all sort to raise this fund including borrowing, but they have also deviced means to combat that by demanding the sponsor i.e the school report every irregularity if any is observed to the home office immediately after you resume in school.

Hello folks

Please i need a little help, i am yet to get an accomodation as I plan to stay in a hotel for 2 days and get accomodation close to the school. While filling the form online, I was asked where I would be staying and i gave this same explanation. the problem now is the IHS form cant be filled without providing an address as it keeps asking me where i want to stay. You need to state whether you are applying to stay in the Isle of Man, Jersey or Guernsey. What do I do about this?

Use your school address, it will not be an issue

I will scare anything that breaths out of this section the moment that individual starts sharing or encouraging any wacky idea about abusing student visa rules, i will not think twice banning that individual.

The issue of sharing information regarding cutting corners is NOT up for debate here, not for a second.

If you want to withdraw your money and use it before/after visa application thats your business but don't share or encourage others to do that here.

What you have said is the perfect truth. Speaking from experience.

What is the ‘perfect ‘ truth there?
What is the ‘experience’ there?
That closing balance does not matter for T4 visa applications? That it’s trend that matters?

I know you love gossip, but please sharrap there.
This thread is for honest Nigerians, not for some corner-cutting fraudulent people.

Why do u want to stoop so low in a public forum? Why are you telling me 'sharap'? (Do we know each other?) Why are you quoting me when I didn't even mention u. Did I say that closing balance does not matter? Cerezo raised several points and you chose the one you wanted to hear. You can be reasonable and civil by making ur argument without insults. please, just stay in ur lane and mind ur business.

What I am very sure of is that the bank can not disclose any customer's balance to a third party without his or her authorization. The embassy confirms if the submitted bank statement is authentic. Still speaking from experience.

Hello everyone. Please I used the assisted service for my Super priority application today. My bank statement was printed on both sides of the paper and it actually skipped my mind to notify the TLS staff and confirm if both sides were scanned properly.

In case both sides aren’t captured, would I be asked to come back to re upload or it’s grounds for a refusal ?

I never knew you work with the UKVI. Why do people get refusal on the ground that ECO is not satisfy that the fund would be available for your use whilst in the UK?
Please as a Nigerian, it will cost you nothing to do the right thing. Stop giving rubbish advice that would possibly lead to a refusal.

You kept fund for 28 days print your bank statement, used part of the money then wait for 26 day after, before submitting your application while still using the old statement. Yes the statement has not exceed 31 day but it raise ground for refusal. your circumstances clearly shows the fund isn't available to you anymore because it is, you would have printed a more recent statement.

Please guys always do the right thing. Some of us get this funds from family and close friends. Put in proper plan before u submit your application so you don't raise grounds for refusal. As a prospective tier 4 student please try to avoid a refusal which is the essence of this Thread.

Unfortunately, there is nothing like "come and re-upload".
You can go back to TLS and let them know your concern. I have heard cases of documents being added because they were skipped if the applicant can prove the mistake was from the TLS staff.
But you just said it skipped your mind so this does not apply to you.
There is an email which applicant use to add documents, you can check on this thread.
I think you should check TLS first to get the right thing to do.

I would have left you to wallow in your egoistic and outright ignorance but because this kind of warped posting by you is capable of misleading genuine T4 Visa applicants, I will respond to you.
Look again at the bolded statement. Does it make any sense to you? So all the UKVI will do is call up the bank and say: Mr XYZ claimed he has an account with your bank. Is it true? And the bank says yes it’s true. That’s all. Really?

You are denying that you clearly wrote that what matters is trend, and not closing balance.
Were you sleep-writing when you wrote that?

Please do not be deceived. All these pipu talking nye-nye-nye ‘experience’ will not be there when your Student Tier-4 Visa is refused because of insufficient funds.

This is the real problem with Nigerians. Someone makes a comment, albeit a wrong one. All you need to is make it clear that he is wrong and spell out the consequences. Instead you and the other one justwise are threatening to block him. You give someone a little power and they overuse/misuse it. We find these same symptoms in the police, government and even university staff. Yet you will be the first ones to complain when you feel victimized. No matter how long you have been here you obviously don't know it all.

This is just nonsense, I honestly wish the government use their power in weeping out crooks, corrupt and fraudulent Nigerians, the same Nigerians who will travel out and continue with their fraudulent behaviours.

How will you correct someone who persistently claimed to be right despite the evidence?

I have no doubt in my mind that a large number of Nigerians are decent law abiding individuals but we have few twisted minds and their defenders like yourself who have put us on the wrong path in history.

processing for my wife but her application has been with UKVI for up to 20 working days now, I don't understand the delay.. Tier 4 dependant should take the normal waiting time for any other Visa application.

I earlier thought that ur problem was u couldn't understand properly but I now see that you can't even read. Quote where I clearly WROTE that closing balance doesn't matter. I said what Cerezo wrote is true but it was regarding his comment that the banks are not obliged to disclose account balance to any visa office without ur consent. Go and read my previous posts and u will see that you were the person sleeping while writing.

I am still saying that the bank won't reveal ur closing balance to any third party without ur authorization. The embassy confirms if the bank statement is fake or forged.

The mistake I made was that I didn't explain further for someone like u to comprehend. For example, if the ECO needs £20,000 as proof of funds for the whole year and I have over £30,000 which is in excess.. after waiting for 28 days and submitting the bank statment to UKVI, I can spend from the money in preparation for my study as long as it does not affect the main money (£20,000). Anyone who is spending from the main money shown as proof of funds is doing so at his/her risk. Capiche.

Please, do ur thing while I do mine. You should know by now in visa matter that what works for Mr A might not work for Mr. B....that does not mean it doesn't work.

This thread is for sharing experiences and I don't see why it should be a problem when I share mine. Abeg, just dey ur side.
