It's not too late to retrace your steps!

We're all sinners {prone to blunders} but insistence on covering up your stupid blunder will lead you to destruction! Saul was the first King of Israel, his error is so simple but instead of confession he arrogantly desires to cover up thinking much of himself than God whose order he has ignored! undecided undecided undecided
It's just a mistake and you can still bounce back to do better if you agree that you're a sinner {the one who can always make mistakes in words and deeds} James 3:2 smiley smiley smiley

Let him continue stubbornly heading towards self destruction!

If not absurdity, how on earth would someone who claims he believes in Jesus Christ as the WORD of God think he could CORRECT what the WONDERFUL COUNSELOR himself confirmed as PERFECT?

It's clearer than ever before now that they don't understand a single thing in the Bible! undecided

But if he sees Jehovah's Witnesses, that's when he will start quoting what he can't apply.
Just imagine such insanity,

PAUL'S CRITICISM OF PETER AND BARNABAS

Galatians 2:11-14 (KJV)

11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.
12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.
13 And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation.
14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

About Peter:

*One of the top three of the twelve apostles of Jesus before whom Jesus was transfigured at the mount where Moses and Elias appeared, and unto whom God said, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him." {Matthew 17:1-5 (KJV)}

*The Apostle that Jesus appointed as the leader of His church before He departed the Earth. {John 21:15-17, Matthew 16:18-19}

*One of the three apostles that were the only prayer partners of Jesus. {Matthew 26;36-38}

About Barnabas:

*One of the pioneers of Christ's church. {Acts 4:36-37}

*The one who brought Paul after his conversion and introduced him to the church when they were still afraid of him. {Acts 9:26-28}

*One of those the Holy Ghost had separated for the work He had called them. {Acts 13:2-4}

Anyone who believes it's wrong and Antichrist to question the words and actions of Paul because he was in the church before us, also believes same of Paul who questioned the words and actions of Peter and Barnabas who were in the church before him.

So the corrections of the many mistakes of Paul's teachings continues unabated.

Seven down, Three to go.

God bless.

Except he was suggesting that the woman ought not love the man also but to hate him, then it would have been better even though not perfect. But then if the woman was also meant to love the husband but the husband not meant to submit himself to the wife, then that would prove beyond any possible doubt that there was clearly an all out agenda against the women. For how can the woman be meant to do everything inclusive of the man's part but the men just supposed to "love your wives", and it would yet be a justifiable saying concerning the women. However in spite of the glaring error of that saying shown to that extent, this saying of Paul is yet being observed by most of those of today's church as the word of God.
Love your wife,AS Jesus loved the church !
How did Jesus love the church ?
He simply laid down his life for them,bore the pains,the agony ,the humiliation just for the church.
He simply did things you could do for anyone & very much beyond.
You think the love here is just that merry butterfly feelings in your stomach when you're attracted to someone
Of all the commandment,love is the greatest.
If you love someone as Christ love the church,you simply will consider their interest first,you could go extra mile to make them save & happy here & hereafter,you will be concerned about there physical welfare & spiritual well-being, you won't allow anything to break that bond or union of marriage ,in cases of married couples.

And you still saw everything wrong with what Paul instructed the church
How many men are even capable of the love Paul is asking the men to show ?

How many
How many out there are capable of showing the love Christ have for the church to their fellow human
These is pure agape love we are talking about !
And you still saw everything wrong with that ?

Pls,question that spirit that's instructing you on these write up.
Pls,I sincerely advise you to do that.

As per the bolded it also applies to the spirit that instructed him on that his write up about Peter and Barnabas.

If not you should also question the spirit that made you to say that to me.

Maybe that spirit also told you that Paul is also the holy spirit as to many christians here believe, so his sayings should not be questioned.

That's a lying spirit!

Can you post the write up ? If you don't mind..

Why are you suddenly being emotional ?
You think I will get angry with your last
paragraph ?
Paul cannot be a Holy spirit to a saved & sanctified person,even though I know i am not one,but his teaching very much acts as a manual for a sanctified person.
Even to an unsaved & sanctified soul,he is still not the Holy spirit,but very much you could see a man panting for God & a sincere fellowship with Him.

Even Bible admonish everyone ,believers most especially to question every spirit .
Every single one of them !

Hence,I was questioning the spirit that saw a thing wrong with Paul's teaching that men should love their wife ,as Christ loved the church.
Are you even capable of such love on your own ?
The love is the beginning and ending of a true Christian walk with God.
It's agape love,For God sake.
For a marriage to work,a man must love his wife beyond that mere attraction he feels for her,to Christlike love for the church.
Though the head,but still humble, teachable , & sensitive to the pains of his woman,as Christ is to the church.

What else do you want from the man ?

What are you talking about, being emotional?

Are you not the one that asked me to question the spirit instructing me because I questioned some of the writings of Paul?

So are you being emotional yourself by thinking that the writings of Paul cannot be questioned, while that which I wrote to question his writings are being questioned by you?

That's aligns with the orientation that many christians both here and elsewhere have, where they think that the Spirit of God which revealed things to Paul died or no longer existed after the death of Paul.

What does that say to you?

So they may not say it directly but indirectly they do so by such an orientation.

Like the spirit behind some of Paul's writings right?

If you don't see anything wrong with that erroneous saying of Paul concerning a man and his wife, then you should question the spirit behind that judgment.

Y'all are being sentimental because it is Paul, not if what he said was accurate.

How about his saying concerning women covering their hair and men not, where else did ever hear such a thing?

But of course it was Paul who said it so it can't be questioned.

These conversation is going to turn out to be a long pull & push,and I wouldn't want that..
But the bottom line is that I don't agree with your teachings about Paul,and you don't agree with Paul's teaching.
Let's just agree to disagree here sir..

Obviously, but you didn't say anything about if you agree with all of Paul's teachings, because if so then that's where we disagree, as I believe Paul is a true apostle of Christ and agree with some of his teachings but not all as you do.

So you too be very careful.

@Jesusjnr,

I have read some of your positions against Apostle Paul and I have one question to ask. If it has been asked before, you can direct me to the page you responded to it.

The question is, The revelation to Apostle John about the 7 churches came after Paul's writings. In Jesus' revelations to John, Nicolaitans, Jezebel and the likes were accused for false teaching, heresies and the likes. If Paul had made so much heretical teaching, why didn't Jesus accuse him along with the doctrines of Nicolaitans?

Please provide scriptural and convincing reasons.

Thank you.

Hi Bro.

If you have already read some of my position about Paul's writings as you say and yet proceed to ask such a question, I don't see the point.

Because it shows you already have a rigid position concerning his teachings as many of the church do, therefore the chances that answering such a question would make any difference is close to nil.

I think the question you should be asking instead is why the likes of you see the teachings of Paul who himself was not a disciple of Jesus while He was yet on Earth as inerrant, even to the extent of placing it above the teachings of Jesus who founded the church?

Some even think that to question Paul's teachings is to question the Holy Spirit, as if Paul himself was the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit who they say revealed those things to Paul was no longer on Earth?

These things are very deep and it would take the Holy Spirit to reveal it to someone, so unless that happens don't expect to be able to comprehend it.

You would have seen posts I made that showed where Paul questioned people that were there before him and taught by Jesus like Peter, and be able to see what led to Paul erroneous teaching of faith/grace over works, because he wouldn't learn from those who learnt directly from Jesus concerning what Jesus taught them.

What I'm doing here, James the brother of Jesus did it but indirectly, and you also know the disagreements Paul had with other disciples as Barnabas so this is not the first time.

But you seem to hold Paul In such high esteem as was reflected in that your comment, but as i told you Paul is my colleague, so I don't owe you any explanation concerning what I'm doing, for I'm trying to help a friend out.

As for Jesus correcting Paul, He did that with the "thorn in Paul's flesh" but many don't even realize that.

So that's what I have to say concerning this matter bro.

Thanks and God bless.

I asked a question, I don't expect you to subject my question to your interpretation but you respond to the question I asked.

I am not good with reading epistle especially if it doesn't address the question asked. I also do not understand the subtle jabs in your post.

You created a thread for the purpose of educating us. So you should be wiling to answer questions without pre-empting the person asking.

I do not glorify any man but I give honour to whom it is due. If your interpretation of my question is exalting Paul above the Holy Spirit, you are entitled to your opinion.

Thorn in the flesh is not the same thing as a rebuke. If Paul had thrown such damaging heresies, I expect a stern rebuke from the Master.

I didn't read all the errors of Paul you wrote but the few I read, your explanations are not convincing which is why I asked the question. I actually asked the question with an open mind probably you have an explanation for it but you couldn't answer and assumed otherwise.

An advice, don't be defensive when a question is asked. Answer the question and allow the person give himself or herself away.

Since you are not willing to answer my question, no point to continue with the discussion.

Thanks bro.

I'm sorry about the assumed subtle jabs. The point I tried to make is I already see how this would end, so no point continuing in it.

So if you don't accept it as obvious, no problem because you don't have to.

If you call it being defensive, you're entitled to your opinion, but I have learnt from experience that this is the best thing to do.

At least you can already see how the "thorn in the flesh" aspect is going, so that should give you an idea of what is to come if we yet proceed.

I'm sure there are things I've said before that you agree with and vice versa, so let's try stay on that path.

Hope this is not an epistle too. wink

Thanks and God bless.

2nd peter 3 vs 15 and 16. Even Peter, endorsed the teachings of Paul. Let me ask you. If man can preserve their beliefs or technology or anything of value to them do you think it small that God wont preserve His word? That He would allow the words of an heretic to enter the bible that His children will beleive upon?

Watch you ego and be subject to the Spirit. Everything Paul preached about is in direct alliance with Jesus. If you dont understand it then pray your spiritual mind is open. That you have salvation is because of the revelation that Jesus gave to Paul. As his message was to the gentiles as we were grafted into the inheritance. The gentiles were not part of the initial chosen as it was only d Jews. Paul was used to fulfill that prophecy of the new covenant where Gods spirit will be poured out on all flesh.

Then can you explain what transpired in Galatians 2:11-14 where Paul was correcting those who were there before him concerning the Gospel of Truth as Peter who learnt directly from Jesus and Barnabas?

Even the same Bible you talk about contains some corrections to the teachings of Paul. You can go and read the book of James the brother of Jesus and tell me who he was correcting on Paul erroneous teaching of faith/grace over works?

That's three people before Paul who had a different view from him on that same topic.

And it's highly erroneous of you to think that it was just Paul who took the gospel to the gentiles. For the gospel had already gotten to the gentiles before Paul was converted by Jesus, because it was Peter that Jesus used in the instance of the centurion the first converted gentile not Paul.

And also tell me about who Barnabas was sent to, and even Peter who is credited to be the first bishop of the Catholic church in Rome. Is Rome a Jewish city for you?

How about John and others who had serious impact outside of Israel preaching the gospel of Christ, was it t the Jews and not to the gentiles that they was preaching to?

But y'all can continue in your sentimental views concerning the gentiles not being able to get the gospel of truth without Paul, even though it is absolutely false and baseless in truth.

I'd forgotten that you created threads like this. It's been so long since I saw them here on the board. So, now I am wondering why I gave you the benefit of the doubt that you are even a believer in the first place. Of course, if you believe that the Lord Jesus is God Who became Man to die for our sins and resurrect for our justification, then you're a believer indeed, in spite of your terrible theology.

Regardless, I have warned you before, and I will do so just this once more, stop teaching these lies that you fill the board with everyday. You have no idea the condemnation that is waiting for you for continuing to do so.

You do not know the Scriptures at all. You would be best served to retire and go and learn it. Otherwise, you would be fortunate to be saved at all. The rebuke that you'll get at the Judgment Seat of the Lord Jesus will chill you terribly, although you will not be thrown into the Lake of Fire, if you continue to believe. But what you are doing is damaging other people's faith in the Lord and turning unbelievers away who might have believed without your lies to impede them. It is also damaging your own faith, if you have any at all. So, quit it, and go and study the Scriptures from a gifted and prepared Bible teacher, before you do irreparable harm to yourself.

It is for false teachers like you that 2 Peter 2 and Jude were written.

Slow down champ. Firstly, the issue Paul had with Peter: We must first build a foundation. See Elohim chose the jewish race in a time when nations and people didnt worship him. He chose them through Abraham being the Father of the Jewish nation. The jews had laws and principles against mixing or even marrying gentiles. the Jews were separate. Now when, salvation came, the question arose of if the gentiles should obey the jewish laws. But they knew that these laws were local only to the jews. its like you being a yoruba man that already has its laws and rules and the messiah came through that race? Jesus was a jew, hence he went to the sabbath, he kept the feast days etc. so the same question arose. Now the issue with Paul and Peter was that Peter associated himself with the gentiles before certain jewish christain came from James then he separated himself from associating with the gentiles. the jews had laws against mixing with gentiles. So Paul reminded him that why do they have to treat gentiles like how it was told them in the law and why do they want the gentiles to obey the jewish law when even they apostles know that a man is not justified by the law but by faith Gal 2 vs 16.

Peter and every jewish christain initially had an issue with ministering to the gentiles. if yu recall, the issue of Cornelius, God tried to break that bond in Peter when he saw that vision and said he should kill and eat those animals. remember that the jews had food laws so God was trying to tell Peter that the barrier has been broken, the law is done. Even said his custome as is the jewish was not to come into the centurion house.

Now James saying that faith withou works is dead is in direct relation to what Paul preached. its the same Paul that listed the sins of the flesh. Paul rebuked the fornicator in the church at corinth all his epistles read that we must DO deeds befitting of faith. The message Paul preached is this. If you read the previous chapters he was explaining how the gentiles are grafted in how the promise made to Abraham of the Messiah was beneficial to the gentiles. i explained above that thre was a time were onl Israel served God. God made a covenant with them not with the gentiles. we all are spiritual israels so Paul was linking how we gentiles by FAITH are also part of Gods initial plan. he said that the promise was to Abraham and his seed when he was yet UNCIRCUMCISED (meaning he wasnt yet circumcised as the jews were the only group circumcized in their time, every other people are termed uncircumcised) so Pau was saying God considered the gentiles when he made that promise to Abraham. that God didnt make the promise when Abraham was circumcised being a jew so in other words the promise is not just for only the jews.

Just like how Abraham beleived God and it was accounted for righteousness is how the gentiles and everyone will beleive God and the righteousness of Jesus is imparted without being an actual Jew grin we only had to have FAITH without works of the law or without doing anything, just have faith and be saved firstly. Just have faith and connect to the jewish root That statement Paul made is very much misunderstood but the letter killeth and the Spirit giveth life. James said faith without works is dead. Paul said get the Faith for for SALVATION but after that work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. doesnt it sound the same to you?You cant read bible like story book bro. pray for understanding.

You are not smarter than God. If it doest add up for you then you need to realign yourself not God realigning for you. God is not the author of confusion. The book of galatians is written to the gentiles when some jews came and said that the gentiles MUST be circumcised so that they can obey the laws. All these men spoke the same things sir.

You didn't need to say all that, because it can never negate the error of your idea that without Paul the gospel wouldn't have gotten to us gentiles.

Maybe you guys are following the teachings of Paul concerning that instead of the truth that he was just one of the those that God called for this purpose.

I mean how can you guys completely ignore things like the saying of the Holy Ghost Himself to separate Barnabas and Paul not just Paul:

Acts 13:2 (KJV)

2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

So what work was Barnabas being separated unto by the Holy Ghost, or is it because the work of Barnabas wasn't followed by the Bible?

How about people like Apollos? {Acts 18:24-25}

I mean the idea is so blatantly false!

But you can keep holding tight that error because that's what you would rather believe, even though it is as far from the truth as it can get.

Lastly you highly err to think that the Bible is God!

Lol! What's the point of points with you?

So the likes of you said of Jesus when He brought the Truth, so feels good to be accused of same by you.

John 8:32 (KJV)

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

What is the truth mate? Because all I read r lies and confusion upon confusion. First u asked y Paul and Peter had issues then how you erroneously misinterpreted Paul's teachings on faith without WORKS OF THE LAW with James faith without works. Then you quoted scripture about how holy Spirit separated Paul and Barnabas?

Mate u need to grow up spiritually....these your arguments are not even the issue sef. The church is in a present state of mess and you r here arguing nonsense. Get busy with Christ and stop this divisions. Can you accuse a wife in front of the husband? Can you cause quarrel between two lovers? Paul, Barnabas, Jesus are doing the same things with the same goals.NO DIVISION.DONT BE AN AGENT OF THE DEVIL grin

WAKE UP!!.

So Paul had two spirits which influenced him to write? He wrote somethings by the Holy Spirit and some by the evil spirit?

Jesusjnr you don't understand scriptures pls keep quiet. The covering wasn't covering with cloth or hair scarf, it is her hair. Go and read that place again.
