I think the best defence is to have a password on your SIM card.

Did she set sim lock? That's also important, anyone can remove the sim place it into another phone and commit the same dubious crime.

That's how I loss my sim and I baam fidelity bank to temporarily lock my account from transactions. Me thinking by the next day I will just walk into my bank, update my account with my current number and that's it but everything turned to train wreck. I nearly died in the bank that day, I spent more than 6hours, wrote more than 3letters, walked into more than 4 offices just to reopen an account i just thought they locked temporarily. Then I came again the next day, the stupid ppl were telling me my branch where I opened the account have not responded. Wtf!!! Nxt time I will rather withdraw the remaining on my cash and then ask for update of phone number, then deposit the cash again

You go to sim lock on your phone and input the PUK pin on your airtel sim pack and press your own new pin, if you've lost your sim pack, contact the customer care.

not just bad, fidelity bank has one of the worse customer services. They can't even properly liase with their other branches and they were telling me they contacted my branch, an account i opened like 13years ago So if the branch is no more existing or fire has obliterated it that's how all my cash will disappear into thin air
