Sorry 22

That is what I was saying na. We have Anemena for CHAN. I think he could also play for the Super Eagles right now. I think we have great depth in that position right now including Eze in Bulgaria and that lad at Chelsea.

please I beg you in nairaland's name..keep super eagles out of this...

just because they could beat a lowly rated Sudan shouldn't make you to start recommend them for the super eagles....

let them play for CHAN first
and from there we can tell if they're good enough for super eagles bench

Aribo is no dm and even if he is versatile to play there he is not as as good as ndidi as a DM.

Aribo is a ball carrier and a good one at that so the best position for him is the CM
komekn:

My view is that he takes the role of DM to another level in one move turning defence into attack. He drives the team forward, l can see why Gerrard likes him so much. The add the fact ha has very good vision reading of the game and very good passing range. Finally, not sure which is best foot equally competent with both feet.

He contends with Ndidi IMO.

Aribo is okay

But zuby is not good enough according to some people here
Aribo is a good addition to the midfield, just like Etebo he brings more mobility to the midfield.

Make we hear word abeg. Ichie azubuike is better than all the midfielders in the world. This una noise Don too much to extend I wonder is it not the same azubuike I have seen play severally.

He should be included to the team as a cover for ndidi but the hype that is the next thing close to xavi in world football should stop.
Meliforme:
Neither Ndidi, Etebo nor Aribo has the passing range, we have in Zuby. Comparatively, Zuby is a playmaker. Zuby brings a sort of dominance and stability. A midfield that has Zuby will hardly colapse. Zubys' infusion into the current crop will set a lot of difference.

That Azubuike is really a pocket sized battleship....He was everywhere today in u23...winning balls...long range passes....long range accurate shots...he literally covered every blade of that pitch......he needs to come into super eagles...

i saw a Cameroonian u23 clip against TUNISIA,they were dancing ...guess what? Soapy after scoring...later now they become zenophobic
A Good Observation.

Na rohr no sabi wetin him want...all dis yeye pundit dt doesnt rate zuby watch football from d back of tv..dem no sabi shingbain..zuby is d solution to our CM/to some extent AM role..d guy shld replace john ogu and dey shld stop calling dt WRESTLER ESITI to eagles again

ZUBY without mincing words can fit into d trio of etebo/ndidi (DF) ZUBY/ARIBO (CM) AND IWOBI?/(ANY NEW GOOD AM WHO EMERGES..I would av suggested Nwakali, but @ d moment let him sort out his club issues first and start playing frequently..i am not in d skool of tot dt he must play in top leagues before hes been invited into d eagles because d madagascars dt defeated our so called stars in afcon, some plays in d fifth tier of french league and dey gave good account of themselves in d said tournament, all he needs now is consistency in anywhere he founds himself.
AND WE RE GOOD TO GO
Esiti should be invited, if he is needed. Anyways God bless the brain that made these suggestions.

Tackles, dribbling and speed are good qualities, but knowing what to do with the ball is another. This is one of the reasons for the midfield colapse we saw yesterday. This why we need Azubuike Okechukwu.

His passing was not that good yesterday. What impressed me was his eye for goal. His runs were perfect. I see him as a backup for Iwobi.

No! Indirectly telling you guys i prefer an Azubuike to an Aribo. That is the reason why our midfield colapsed yesterday. Etebo and Aribo aren't the kind of players you can rely on for stability. They are very good with their helter skelter. Please don't misunderstand me, but you can, if you want. Actually, they are the helter skelter kind of players, very good at what in general they are built for. You can't expect them to remain at a place, except when they are tired, this is good, but has its demerits.

I think he's a bit more offensively competent than Ndidi and far better than Etebo offensively judging by yesterday's game. So I believe pairing him with Ndidi would be great. Etebo has lost almost all of his attacking abilities and flair- its so evident.

All what is being expected of Etebo as an AM/ CM going forward which he has been failing to accomplish is what Aribo displayed with ease yesterday.
So for me Aribo should be given a chance to pair Ndidi... Alll Rohr needs to do is instruct the latter to a more defensive responsibility in the midfield.

I do not agree.

Aribo is currently the only midfielder in the Nigerian team that will contribute goals from midfield. Etebo, Ndidi and Azubuike will not give you goals.

Too many Nigerian midfielders hug the ball for too long. Etebo and Azubuike are sometimes guilty of this. I loved the fact that Aribo was letting the ball go quickly. It made our attack transitions faster.

For me, Aribo is the missing piece of the midfield puzzle.

Former Arsenal midfielder Kelechi Nwakali says he is still the heir apparent to John Obi Mikel and is a targeting a recall to the Nigeria national team ahead of the start of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Diamond Academy product is one of the players tipped to replace the retired Mikel in the Super Eagles but manager Gernot Rohr did not look his way when he announced his roster for the recent friendly against Ukraine.

Though Nwakali has not played competitively this season, he sparkled as the Dream Team VII qualified for the U23 Africa Cup of Nations following their 5-0 rout of Sudan in Asaba on Tuesday.

''I am still the heir apparent (to Mikel),'' Kelechi Nwakali told reporters post-match.

''I believe my own is to do the playing and whenever it is time for me to come I am always available.

''It is always an honour to represent Nigeria. Of course, I am still knocking on the door of the Super Eagles, that's why we keep playing every day.''

The new SD Huesca signing has captained the Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles in the past and knows what it takes to prepare for major tournaments including the U23 AFCON which holds in Egypt in November.

''The only thing I have to say is the Federation should support the team, the coach I believe he knows what is at stake.

''The main thing first is to go there to pick up the ticket to the Olympics, even if we don't win the competition, picking up the ticket is the most important thing, so one step at a time,'' Nwakali added.

He concluded by praising his teammates and Nigeria U23 coaching staff led by Imama Amapakabo for the big win against Sudan.

''Personally I take every game to improve myself, I know that footballers we can have bad days but we try all our possible best to make every game count for us.

''We put up a good performance to turn the game from 1-0 to 5-1, I must commend the coach, he did a very good job during the training sessions and the team as a whole for putting up a good performance.''

Kelechi Nwakali was named in an official Nigeria squad for the first time in August 2018 ahead of an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.
