I disagree, that analogy doesn't suffice. A no update response would definitely prompt an update inquiry later on. It's already evident. And if a lie is not to be told, the best way is to give a strong reason why further inquiry would yield nothing. Everyone here now knows not to ask or probe him anymore for updates as they know the underlying reason. That was the best he could do.

I wish we could go back in time and set up a parallel response and see how the thread would have panned out. Trust me, I play chess and tend to anticipate at least 3 moves ahead, we wouldn't be discussing @Jarus response now as we would have gone on to discuss other things since he has no info for us.

I decided not to meddle in on the issue between Gbriels and Jarus. But on this 'lie' or 'no lie' issue, I will have to go against my earlier stance. Yet I feel both guys are right, what led to all these are inciting comments by other readers.

@Benflash I think people are getting it wrong about you saying Jarus should have lied.

A simple 'my source haven't disclosed anything new' by Jarus would have rendered all these tantrums dormant.

Everyone here knows Jarus has got legit source, Him mentioning the 'binding agreement' ish kinda make it feels like he's throwing it at people faces. (Same way people thought Mosgoon was being proud at the slightest mention of Mckinsey)

Back to the morality brethen, there are various statements one would have made to get out of situations like this. Biblically Rehab had to lie to save the three spies ( I once asked in Church, that if Rehab had been killed as a result of finding those spies in her custody after lying, where would she have found herself Heaven or Hell?

The answer I got back then was that God is Supreme, there is no one like him. He's the only Judge.
