But let us be honest, this mass migration of Nigerians to a struggling country like South Africa should not have happened in the first place. The same way the mass migration to countries like Malaysia, and in the past or present, Spain, Ireland, UAE and others. And the way Nigerians do it. If South Africa is a country that is working for it citizens, it's unlikely their people will resort to violence against foreigners at mass level. Worse case scenario you may have indivdual cases of attacks like mass shooting at a Walmart in US that target Mexicans. But in a country where people are not permitted to carry arms, victims will be less.

The level of inequality in South Africa alone should scare a potential Nigerian migrant because the country could explode any time because a small minority control the wealth. I don't think people sit down to evaluate the risks that come with moving to specific countries before they pack their bags.
