Why dont you stop driving because people have car accidents?

Gas is good but the children and other user must be thought of the danger in
it when you on it down..you must not mistakingly on it down otherwise the next or available ignition would cause havocs...

My mother refused to use gas all. Through her life, especially when she saw what happened to a sales boy at the house we stayed in Lagos decades ago.

But na Gas I dey use now sha.

Once I smell anything, I don go check, most times it's always from my neighbours. I was the same person that saved their house from getting burned while they left their gas on and went to church on a Sunday like this... My nose is too sensitive and alert

There is no empirical scientific evidence that cell phones cause gas explosions. It's only in Nigeria we hear this kind of stuff.

I have read through several comments here with some advising against using gas cookers as if kerosene stoves do not explode as well.

The first comment should have clearly stated this warning and I think this should also be imprinted on every gas cooker and canister:

DO NOT PLACE YOUR GAS CAN INSIDE THE HOUSE.

It's like keeping a live bomb inside your living space. Avoid camp gas as much as you can as well.

Secondly,

ALWAYS AERATE YOUR KITCHEN WHENEVER YOU SUSPECT GAS LEAKAGE

No. 2 is important but No. 1 is importanter.
