Hello everyone. Please i have an enquiry to make. I have been to the US before in 2017 onn a students visa for my MSC but i had to come back to Naija cos of personal reasons and i couldn't finish the program in US. Now 2 years gone, my Visa has expired already and i plan on going to the US again for visit this time cos i have a business i rum here and my family too. Is it possible for me to get another visa category on same passport for same country? I mean since i have an expired F1 visa, can i get a B1/B2 Visa on same passport?

And if yes, what are my chances of getting the B1/B2 Visa considering that I i left previously without finishing my program?

Also, my passport will expire by April next year, can i still make use of it for the visa application?

Finally, how much is B1/B2 visa fee now? Thanks in advance

SOPWriter:

You have nothing to worry about, so far you didn't violate any of the immigration laws.

Your passport can still be used (it's still over six months from the expiry date).

Ohh thanks for this. Yes i never violated any rule and was never arrested for anything. So i can get different type of visa categories on a single passport for same country right? I have expired F1 visa on it already

1. What's your GPA?
2. Have you emailed program coordinators to inquire about GA opportunities in their programs? They'd be in the best position to tell you if, and to what extent they fund MS students.

Depending on your overall profile, Texas State University could offer you a GA for the 1st year that qualifies you for in-state tuition ($8k per year), and monthly stipends (about $1.4k). There's also the grad college scholarship ($2k), but your GPA must be above 3.25/4. Best wishes as you prep for the GRE.

What are my chances with Texas State University with a GPA of 3.38/4 and a GRE score of 289?

Check with wakanow; you will be shown the cheapest to the highest. Moreover, you can as well check with Royal Air Moroc.

@ extrovert6

We need to first understand the business model of agents like Wakanow or TravelStart. I used the word agents because that's what they actually are...middlemen. they get tickets from airlines and hype the price by $100 or more as profits.

I still believe that the best place to get the best price is directly from the airlines. Wakanow and TravelStart are two sides of d same coin and they always match each other's price.

The catch is, u need to have the flight money ready. Secondly u need to be able to identify when d airline offers u a good deal n grab it.

1. Don't visit the airlines website prior for the purpose of mere checking.
2. Check only when u are ready to pay.
3. Use Wakanow n the rest to have an idea of the price.
4. Visit their website. Some will hit u with a ridiculously low price the first time u search. If u miss it, it's gone.
5. Keep checking the flight for up to 5 days at different times. You will mostly likely be offered a price drop.

No need to clear your cookies. You actually want the airlines to know that u are seriously considering them, that way they want to lower d ticket. That's how I search

I know almost everyone out there will tell u to go incognito while searching. Na, not me. I want them to know I am around.

I once missed a deal like this on Turkish airlines n I could have saved $250. Last time I used Ethiopian air, I saved 45k naira. Wakanow n TravelStart colluded between themselves n lined me up for slaughter, but I don wise.

Expedia did the same thing to me...

I saw a very cheap flight & when I wanted to pay for it the now informed me that the price has increased by $250 due to too many people trying to book the same flight...

I just went into the Bedroom to grab my wallet & when I came out to pay for my ticket you now want to tell me the price has increased by $250 within 5 minutes...

I refused to buy it...

Hello everyone, Please I would appreciate your opinions on my query.

I plan on doing my master’s in Business Analytics in America or Canada next year and I need some advice on schools or advice in general.

I have not been so good at school as I came out with a second class lower in economics, Statistics is not really a problem for me and I have some passion for programming as I am self-taught in python and JavaScript which is why I looked towards data science majorly because of the machine learning and some attractive things that are taught with the program that I am personally interested in.

I also do not have a lot of working experience, after graduation, I have just done my NYSC and currently working on my business, I would need some advice on some schools to look at, what I should have before applying and the rest. Please be brutally honest with your replies.

I have done some searching on my own and, I have found a moderate school (M.S. in Business Analytics at Oklahoma State University) their requirements are not too high and based on their courses, its something I am very interested in learning.
funding isn't really a problem although anything around 10-15k a year would be good. Thank you

cc sheke01, bracelum, BigFrancis21, shayhune, lagosismyhome, fairheart, and any other person that has insides into this. Thank you.

Exactly! This is really good. Wakanow price is even on the high side. I got my ticket to Washington Dulles for ₦248k (Egypt air) and wakanow was showing 1M for that same flight when I checked. You can use student universe to check the cheapest then visit the airline gangan to book

Strike that out cuz you'd be surprised at what you're capable of in a more conducive learning environment. Have you considered MBA with concentration in Data Analytics? This would help broaden your search query as they are similar in course outline. University of Baltimore has an impressive MBA-Data Analytics program but the tuition is on the high side. I paid ~$11,300/semester before I left.

Some schools may request for one or two years professional experience to be eligible for admission into their Business program. I think your business and NYSC experience covers that if well packaged.
